Um, no. I like it for its own merits. It's a good movie, not just becuase it's tradition. Hell, I hadn't seen it until a few years ago and it was March.

There's love right here, I watch it every damn christmas! Special mention
to "Muppets Christmas Carol" although when i first saw it Tiny Tim's passing made me cry (but it was manly weeping dammit!)
