What are your favorite Shout Out moments in Comic Book movies?

You know while looking for stuff to post, I've begun to realize that in the case of Superman, the comic makes references to the movies rather than other way around! Case in point:

Nicely spotted ! Just shows you how influential Superman the movie was.

Sucked is harsh. It was okay, let down by some cheesy moments, poor casting of Elektra and a boring romantic sub-plot

Well I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree on that dude. This movie convinced me that Mark Steven Johnson should never be allowed near a comic book property again. And when they got him for Ghost Rider, the result was predictably the same, if not worse.

This whole scene was pretty much panel for panel with the comics, except how the fight ended.

One moment that gave me goosebumps was in Incredible Hulk, 'HULK SMASH!'

:wow: HOLY ****. Down to the pose. :lmao:

But see, there's such a thing as paying too much lip service to the comic source material, and forgetting to make a good movie in the process. Mark Steven Johnson is guilty of that in this movie through and through.

..and the fact if the Director's Cut had been released instead of the 90 minute rom-com version we'd be talking of a Daredevil franchise at this point...

I thought the Director's cut was pretty good. Still not a perfect film, but is a vast improvement on the original.

Does this count?
Movie to comic to movie...

Don't know if there's an in-movie shot of Bale, or Keaton in that pose?
Also would be great to add Dracula and Shadow in the sequence but couldn't find the pose.
All I could find was the Plan 9 From Outer Space guy subbing for Lugosi and I don't think that's where it originated:oldrazz:

It would count if that shot was actually in the movie and not just on a poster.

^ Is that from an actual X-Men comic?

From what I read Logan kills a alternate version of Rachel Summers. That being her, but it looks an awful lot like the end of X3

Yeah it does, but the art looks a little odd for an X-Men comic so I was wondering if it was actually from one.

I'd post the corresponding scene but it has a swear word in it and I got in trouble before for posting a news article that had a swear word in it's content. However it's pretty much word for word

I dont have a specific comic or movie reference, it would be hard to narrow one down, but Rocket translating "I Am Groot" every time in the movie was STRAIGHT out of the comics.

Little necro thread action here. Hope no one minds.

By the way use of Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 images is proof that fidelity is not what is always cracked up to be in comic book movies.
