What Bats story should be made into a PG-13 animated movie?

There's one thing many of you need to realize.... These so-called PG-13 animated films have all been so short... There is no way you would be able to fit The Long Halloween or Hush into that time frame... Maybe DKR and Arkham Asylum could be done... no question about it!

You know, as much as I did like the idea of Ego or Killing Joke, I have to admit... I'd actually much rather prefer an original Batman story, than an adapted Batman story. Whenever Timm and Dini did something original (IE: "Over The Edge", "Joker's Favor", ect.), they brought something new and outstanding to the Batman mythology.

After seeing New Frontier yesterday, though I thought it was good... it didn't have the "umph" that the episodes I mentioned did, because I had read the book beforehand. I knew what to expect. Nothing surprised me, aside from the few short changes they made to the story, which were probably the best scenes, admittedly.

Gotham Central: Unresolved
A rare story in which The Mad Hatter is portrayed brilliantly. Basically it's about an old case in which a high school football team all got killed, it's mature, edgy and handles everything really well.
If not that, Soft Targets or The Killing Joke. Both brilliant Joker tales and Soft Targets has a ready made viral campaign all set up. "Who's next to wear the Red Halo?" Love it

If it wasn't PG-13 I'd say The Killing Joke is at the top of my list. But it could be done in a less gruesome way such as the uncensored ROTJ.

I'd also like to see obviously The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Returns, Year 100, Hush, or the Long Halloween.

as much as i'd like to see DKR, am i the only one who thinks that if they did that, they would just abbreviate it considerably and just make it a "Watch as Batman comes back and beats up Two Face, The Mutant Leader and The Joker"? As much as i loved The New Frontier, i was kind of let down by the fact that it was really abbreviated and felt really rushed.

If some of these books were turned into animated movies, most, if not all, would be severely condensed. I think they should make the films longer, personally. Atleast 1 1/2 hours rather than an hour and 15 minutes.

I'd actually like to see animated version of beginning of Batman's and Robin's partnership. It would be kinda cool to see ''Robin Begins'', since he won't be in Nolan's films. ( And for a good reason.)
