What biopic would you like to see? Who should make it? Who should play them?

Idris Elba in The Life of Samuel L. Jackson. You know you want it.
Think about what you're saying. The only man alive who can play Samuel L. Jackson is Samuel L. Jackson himself.

I've always wanted to see a movie about Hitchcock. No idea who could play him. Possibly Bob Hoskins.

Wasn't Anthony Hopkins supposed to play Hitchcock in a biopic?

I'd like a biopic on Andrew Jackson, but no idea who'd play him.

Andrew Jackson is good one. Another president who's life seems tailor made to have a Hollywood film made about him is Ulysses Grant.

I saw Rod Taylor in Inglorious Basterds (he played Winston Churchill), and I thought he had the 'late' Hitchcock look down. That being said, I don't know how well he can act nowadays.

Coincidently, he starred in Hitchcock's classic, "The Birds".

How about an actual legitimate and honest Michael Jackson biopic? I know the casting of him would be pretty difficult. But I think a film about him growing up with Joseph, the Jackson 5, the Off The Wall, Thriller, Bad, and Dangerous years as well.

I would love to see a Beatles biopic. Maybe have some of the same cast as the Lennon biopic "Nowhere Boy" that came out recently.

Aaron Johnson as John Lennon (reprising the role from "Nowhere Boy")

Thomas Sangster as Paul McCartney (reprising the role from "Nowhere Boy")

Skandar Keynes as George Harrison (Edmund from "Chronicles of Narnia")

Matthew Lewis as Ringo Starr (aka Neville from "Harry Potter"...a little bit out there but he has the same kind of awkward look that Ringo has)

Michael Sheen as Brian Epstein, the group's manager

Paul Bettany as George Martin, the group's record producer

Carey Mulligan as Cynthia Lennon (the movie could use a female lead...why not John's wife?)

Don't know who would play Yoko. The principles should all be played by actors in their early 20s so they can play the roles during the entire span of the band's career from 1960-1970 and then some.

How about Devon Aoki as Yoko Ono? She's young, beautiful, Japanese, and I think she's a pretty good actress (at least I think she did well in the movies I've seen her in, I haven't seen everything she's ever done though).

Id like to see a Chris Farley biopic, idk how his close friends who are big celebs now would like that but i think he was a misunderstood person, not to mention he was hilarious

Nirvana/Kurt Cobain Biopic, starring Joe Anderson (Across the Universe).

I'd like to see a biopic of Nelson Mandela, from back when he was the leader of a terrorist group, killing innocent civilians in bombing attacks.

I understand they've been trying to do that for years. For some reason Courtney Love won't sign off on it, and they can't do the movie without her permission. I think she wants too large of a percentage of the gross before she'll okay anything, or something like that. At least that's what I've heard.

Actually, she's OK'd the crap out of it, she's even picked up an Exec Producer credit for herself.

Theres a bit of info. No casting yet though, I have little faith in it being very truthful to the more private aspects of his life thanks to Love wanting to make herself look good (She want's ScarJo to play her.) although it'll be interesting none the less.

Just need to get this guy, he can sing, he can play guitar and... Just look at him:

Agreed. Although with all the delays, Anderson might be an old man by the time they actually shoot the movie.

I have no idea who to cast as Novoselic but I'm leaning towards Zach Levi for Grohl.:awesome:

liketo see George reeve. if you don't know whoGeorge reve is he play in the old superman tv show. they say he comite suicide but some people thinks it muder. i would like to see biopic on rod sterling creater of twlight zone. i also thought tomy lee jone would be good to play him. he kind of looks like rod sterling

other would be instering:
lucy ball
red foxx

wasn't there already a george reeve biopic? Hollywoodland i think it was called, with ben affleck as reeve and adrian brody as some detective in the near future investigating his "suicide"

I'd like to see a biopic of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, i know that the lead singer is developing a tv series based on the memoir Scar Tissue but the series would be focused on him and father rather than the actualy formation of the band.

BLOOD & SWEATSOCKS: THE MICK FOLEY STORY
Jack Black as Mick Foley
jack-black.jpg
mick+foley.jpg

If you look at the pictures, there's a remarkable likeness between Jack and Mick. They look like twin brothers from different mothers. Jack is also a great comedic actor, and I think he could pull off Mick's quirky sense of humour quite well. He also went to wrestling school to prepare for his role in Nacho Libre, and did some of his own stunts in that movie. You gotta respect that kinda professionalism.

Angelina Jolie as Colette Foley
angelina_jolie.jpg
mick-foley-wife-colette.jpg

First off, I really like Angelina as an actress. She can do action, drama, comedy, she's the whole package deal. Second, Angelina and Colette look a lot alike in the above picture. It's a slightly smaller role, as the movie would focus more on Mick's life, but a very important one.

Owen Wilson as Owen Hart
owenwilsonpic13.jpg
owen_hart.jpg

No, I didn't choose Owen Wilson because he and Owen Hart share the same first name (that's just a happy coincidence). First of all, if you'll notice in the above photos they happen to look an awful lot alike. Secondly, Owen Wilson is a great comedic actor. And since Owen Hart was always joking around and pulling ribs on the other wrestlers, comedic timing would be very important for the role. I will admit that he'd have to put on some serious muscle in order to portray Owen accurately, but give him a year in Calgary training with the Hart brothers and I think he'd pull off the role perfectly.

The WWE Superstars as Themselves
wwe3iy1uj.jpg

There's just too many wrestlers in the business to recast them all. Any who have passed away (such as Crash Holly, Brian Pillman, Crush, etc) or are too old to play themselves from earlier in their careers (such as Jimmy Snuka) will obviously have to be recast. But for guys who are still around and don't look much different than they did 10 years ago (The Rock, The Undertaker, Triple H, etc) then it's best if they just play themselves.

That's what I was going to say.

As for a biopic, Jonathan Larson. I saw a documentary on him which was very interesting and tragic

I've had a cast in mind for an RHCP biopic for some time now:

Justin Long - Kiedis

Aaron Johnson - Frusciante

Samuel Witwer - Flea

Chris Hemworth - Chad Smith

The choice of Hemworth is purely based on the fact that people on the Thor boards keep saying he looks like Will Ferrell who looks like Chad Smith.

One biopic I'd love to see is one done on the life, times, and career of Andre The Giant. I saw his biography on A&E a while back (taped it actually, so I can watch it whenever I like) and I think it could make for a very entertaining, yet sad, film. Maybe have it written, directed, and produced by the same people who did Chaplin, or maybe Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story.

As for casting? That's tough. You'll need to get a lot of people who look a lot like well known wrestlers from yesteryear to play those roles. People who could pass for a young Bruno Sammartino, Jimmy Snuka, Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan, Haystacks Calhoun, etc. The kids of some of these wrestlers could probably play their dads (I could see David Sammartino playing Bruno, and Snuka's son playing The Superfly). Others would have to be cast with little known pro wrestlers from the indie circuit, bodybuilders, actors, etc, who just happen to look a lot like the wrestlers.

The only specific casting I have in mind is for Andre. I think "The Big Show" Paul White should play Andre. Especially if he can imitate Andre's voice as well as he does Hulk Hogan's. If he can match Andre's thick French accent and deep booming voice, he'd be perfect in the role.
