I've just done all of the movies again during the lockdown and there's one thing that grates with me - the non-enhanced humans.
As my name suggests I didn't read the comics so my knowledge comes from the films, the internet and Top Trumps....
Probably my number one gripe is Tony Stark. I just feel if he was going to be the main superhero, the guy who took on Thanos and saved the universe, and who was going to need to hold his own against Thor and other gods, he needed more than a suit.
Even the suit requires one to suspend one's belief as he flies around and hits the ground.
The simplest explanation would've been that the arc reactor in this chest enhance him physically as well as power his suit. It explains why he doesn't suffer from the g-force. It explains why he's able to crash into the desert when he first puts on his suit. It explains his reflexes including his ability to grab the stones at the end.
This would then also have helped explained War Machine. In fact it's almost implied when he's shot down in Civil War.
I know there's supposed to be some mystery but all it would've taken was one line over the course of three movies.
Next up is Falcon. I know his story is different from the comic books but if he was to be an ordinary human with no enhancements then he needs more than wings. If they did not want to go down the route of his comic book backstory then they should have made him an injured war hero to at least give him some kind of bionic capability.
There's still time to fix Black Widow's backstory by giving her super serum.
I know Hawkeye's thing is bow and arrow but I would've preferred if he was someone who just had lots of different weapons. He doesn't fight aliens and gods much so he can probably get away without otherwise being enhanced.
I think that's everyone covered. I can live with Ant Man (although they shouldn't have done the whole communicating with ants thing).
What do people think?
