No, I was asking people if they thought that constituted as an affair.

Also, keep in mind that the guy she married and had a kid with was practically a carbon copy of Jake.

Its still absurd to think of that as an affair. If they were consciously pining for each other maybe...but still mostly no.

And as for the original post, well, I guess it simply comes down to actively cheat on one's lover over an extended period of time.

Well, he always had feelings for her, but he wasn't sure if it was just because he wasn't having feeling for Mona, or if it was he actually loved her.

Think about it. You're in a bad relationship. You're young. Someone you already knew comes along and gives you some of the things that your spouse wasn't giving you. If you develop romantic feelings for said person, is it because of who he/she is, or who he/she isn't?
