Iron Man What Didn't You Like?

I'm sure this has been brought up before, but anyway: Why was the Mark II suit in silver? In the comics, it's golden.

One thing i didnt like was the fact that we never really got a good show of strength from Iron Man himself, also, the suit should have been able to take tank shells and jet bulletts, why do they keep de-powering heroes in movies, the only ones that didnt de-power its hero were Hulk and Ghost Rider, and it was so refreshing to that in these movies.

Hulk was a decently good movie. ^

Action scenes were good, story was decent (except for daddy as Absorbing Man), and the acting was good. Could've been a better movie. Incredible Hulk looks owning.

What didn't I like about Iron Man? Well, I loved it all.

BUT...that scene where he pulls the big cord out of his nose for like 5 seconds makes my eyes water. =(

2/3 of the action scenes took place in the dark, they made a weak choice for the villain, IMO, and Eric Bana's acting was atrocious, IMO. Plus, the movie was way too slow and plodding, IMO, the dream sequences were way too surreal, IMO, and the comic book panel imagery was way too overused, IMO. Overall, I felt that the movie sucked. And I'm extremely worried about The Incredible Hulk. I think that they've done a very rushed job on it, and needed way more time.

Agreed with both of those, the movie didnt really have that much emotion in it.

Not always, and I personally don't agree with them being at ALL surreal in the movies. That's just way too intellectual and pretentious, IMO, especially in a comic book movie.

I only saw the movie once, and have no problems with most of it so far. I do have one major complaint though; Obidiah Stane is the villain.

I would've love to see him be the villain in the sequel were he takes over Stark's company and force Tony to be homeless and back into his alcoholic state. I'm not a big fan of the comic book but from what I've read online, it would've made for a much better movie.

I would've preferred the Crimson Dynamo to be the villain in the origin tale.

Iron Man is an 8 / 10 for me however regardless of the villain.

I actually think that making Stane the bad guy in the first part was a very good idea, precisely because he's one of Iron Man's lesser-known villains. Having a more minor bad guy allowed Iron Man's origin to take center stage. If Crimson Dynamo or Titanium Man or Mandarin had been the main villain, their origins would have been condensed and shredded and reduced to shadows of their former selves; better to save them for sequels where they have much more elbow room. If only the Fantastic Four movies had done that...

Stane isn't that unknown, at least to people who know Iron Man.

I do agree with your statement about the F4's treatment of Doom however.

I think another thing that made Stane such a perfect fit for this movie was that even in the comics, from what I understand it, he was a much more prominant menace without the Iron Monger armor.

It's not that I didn't like this movie, it just wasn't that big of a deal.
Very faithful, good to see Marvel studios take control, hopefully no more garbage like Daredevil and spider-man 3.

But like Ben Stiller's 'nephew' said on the mtv movie awards, "It was alright, until dark Knight comes out, then you're screwed."

I would have preferred some time to have passed while Tony was making the Iron Man suits. It was ridiculous how fast he finished them. Same goes for Jeff Bridges. I think he completed his in a couple of days. I mean for god's sake. I suppose they had to rush it because of how long the origin story was in which case you have to increase the running time. This was a at least a 2 hour 20 min movie and it was not!
