I'm a huge fan of disney flicks. Even at the age of 22 I can still relate to each film and respect their authenticity in characters and imagination. So I was thinking. With Pixar animation being as top notch as it is, what Disney Classic would you like to see be re-animated and re-imagined by the great team of Pixar?

Personally, I think the Lion King would look amazingggg haha. I'm already a huge fan of the animation, but to see what Pixar animation could do with all those rich colors, beautiful enviornments, and dynamic textures, man would that be a treat.

Again by all means I am not saying that "2-D" animation is bad. In fact I would probably say that a good 75% of disney films work better with that kind of imagination(i.e. Snow White and Sleeping Beauty). I'm just throwing out the idea of a great film being reinvisioned into a beautiful film. Imagine seeing Aladdin's carpet ride not only in pixar 3-D animation but in IMAX 3D. I would take my little sis on opening day.

So what Disney Classic would you like to see be remade by pixar?

Well, having seen and adored Bolt, I'd have to say 101 dalmations. Just imagine how cute all those dogs would look in Pixar Animation!

Aladdin would look pretty good.

If this was a reality Disney could do it in house there'd be no reason to have Pixar do it, the heads at Pixar are now running the show at Disney.

We'll see how Brave looks when it comes out. Honestly, I could have seen Incredibles being done in 2D back in the day as a Disney flick.

None of them. Those classics work the way they do because of the unique look Disney gave them. If they looked like Pixar films, they wouldn't be anything like the experiences we've come to know and love. They may well be great, but they'd be too different from the terrific films we know now.

I agree, none! It might be fun to think about, but don't you think the studios have done enough remakes?

None. They were meant to be in 2D. If you really want to see those characters in 3D, then there's the "Kingdom Hearts" games.

None.

This would be a scary idea. Pixar is great at producing their own original stories. Not all films are meant to be in CGI animation as not all films are meant to be in 2D animation.

Michael Eisner, when he was still CEO of the company, proposed to re-do all the early Disney films as CGI animation ie. Snow White, Pinocchio. Thank God that never panned out.

To be honest, I could see the newer Disney films being Pixared.
But the thought of the classics being 'Pixared' kinda made me sick in the stomach, even if this is just pure fantasy talk.

I really thought about this, have been thinking a lot about this question, and I'm going to have to say none either. Not for "disrespectful to the original intent (this is fantasy guys, stop being so uptight)", but because I simply can't imagine any of these films being 3D.

haha, it's funny how this thread has made a 180.

thats discussion for ya. I really do believe some of the classics could be converted in unique ways. Especially with "good" digital 3-D. I hear what you guys are saying though. The 2-D cartoon animation does have a profound effect on many of these flicks.

none like most have said but for the fun of the question... thinking of animation and the pixar brand humour/appeal, I'd say either Robin Hood or Jungle Book.. perhaps Alice in Wonderland.

Robin Hood, would be fun. Sadly, due to Tim Burton's lack of imagination, Alice and Wonderland has run it's course.

like. it was awful. the best bit was the march hare.. spoon!

I've said this before but an adaptation to 3D, to me anyway, is disrespectful to the artists and the medium as a whole.

haha he was the best! and the 3-D wasn't that bad too. Just the story and the lack of actual set pieces drove this film into the ground.

I wouldnt like to see that at all. So unecassary.

the 3D had a couple moments. for me it was too.. 'narnia'. it was made into like a quest with the mad hatter (horribly done imo) and that dog. But i grew up watching the animated Alice in Wonderland..... so if i was a kid today I would probably enjoy the Burton one more.

Burton should have being a match made in heaven for it but it was more on the Planet of the Apes end of the slider than Edward Scissorhands or Corpse Bride end.
