What do you live for?

What is the most important thing in your life? What makes you get up in the morning, care about life, strive to do your best, etc? And if you don't have anything to live for, what would you like to live for? And if neither, what should people live for?

I live for my wife, my family and friends, and my creative outlets, to watch and learn from the rest of the world while contributing as little as possible most of the time. I'd like to someday be able to say that I live for people (and cute or interesting animals), period. Working on that one. Not working very hard, but working nontheless.
