What goes on at Dentmobile stops?

Apparently there is much free swag to be had, although we definitely have to get there early in case the cops break up the party.

 

Why would cops interrupt? Wouldn't they have legal permission to do the campaign?

 

chicago's 11am one did not have a table.. just handing out stickers from the back of the van. They had a bullhorn and were yeling "Bring back gotham" ect ect

 

They shut it down after 3 minutes?

Weak.

 

i hope they don't break up the one in santa monica. that might be the only stop i can make it to. i love free swag! =D

the shirt looks pretty decent. thank goodness they didn't just throw a pic of the flyer on the front and called it a Dent shirt. the Pins look like real political pins...i like. hope i get to get some stuff before cops break it up.

 

Question about the shirts: Do they come in any different sizes? It pisses me off when I buy something with a free shirt to get an XL shirt

 

ugh! I would have totally gone to one of these if I had more time to plan it out...nice shirt. I'm jealous I'm not gunna lie...

Goddamn, I am so jealous.

 

They asked me to sign a petition and something else I didn't realize was a release form until I heard one of them say "did he sign the release?" after they recorded me talking about being a former citizen of Gotham who moved away because the crime was too bad. I just wish I had thought it out some more because I wanted to mention the "poison gas incident" and the "Bat-Man." Instead I just talked about the corruption and the organized crime.


Oh, I think I saw Jett. He was wearing a Dallas Cowboy's hat in Houston at the Harvey Dent Mobile, so it had to be him, though there are unfortunately too many Cowboys fans living in Houston. He was recording the stuff going on with his own camera.

Here's what happened at Venice Beach, CA this morning: I got there a few minutes after 11am, a few people were standing around. No Dentmobile. They didn't get there until around 12:10 so we had to wait a while. Then they had a table where we all signed a release (just in case our picture ended up on the website) and got a bunch of different kinds of stickers. We had to go and hand them out!!! Then after we handed them all out we could go back to the van and get T-shirts and more stickers and bigger signs.

The coolest part was that everyone was very serious about the campaign. The Dentmobile workers were playing right along. People would see the stickers and say, "I know that guy" or "his name isn't Harvey Dent" and we would all just say, "yes, that's Harvey Dent, and he's running for DA and he's going to clean up crime and corruption in Gotham". Heee.

 

There was this old man there before me who I'm pretty sure had no idea this was marketing for a movie. He got a bunch of shirts for himself and his grand kids.

 

...ha ha..or this scenario.."hey..i got some popcicles and harvey dent swag in my basement"
