What Happend to Family Guy?

I didn't have a problem with the BTTF joke there. I had a big problem in the episode when they made a crack about MJF getting cast as Zorro. That really crossed a line.

Some of the really blatant stuff like that, a couple of the Brown/Goldman references of the barb about Shatner's wife I don't particularly find funny. It reeks of trying too hard.

This past Sunday was better than the last couple, but it was largely the TNG bits. Other than that, the God/Flash Gordon thing is all I recall openly laughing at. At this point, I'm just enduring it all until Something, Something, Something, Dark Side.

I think with Family Guy, it's all game.

I thought the MJF Zorro thing was funny.

The only I kinda get bothered by, the ONLY thing...is the Old Man. You know which one I'm talking about. I laugh, but I die a little inside each time.

South Park pretty much killed the whole concept of FG's "You think that's bad? Remember the time I..." style humor.

South Park...told you to hate it...and you began to hate it?

No. It's more like one of those "once you see it you cannot unsee it" things. It never hit me that they did it as much as South Park hinted at, but after watching that episode then watching some of the newer episodes and counting the times they make some random reference and go 'off plot' it's amazing. I mean, I know that's basically what makes Family Guy, Family Guy...but at least in the earlier episodes it wasn't every few lines.

And I think Family Guy has gotten funnier.

I loathe the days when Meg was treated like a human being.

Tell me about it...I simply cannot sit through Family Guy episodes that are pre-Mila Kunis Meg.

I can't watch anything with her in it now though, because everytime I do I think of her as meg and it totally ruins it.

I watched this past weeks episode, and I have to say I think The Simpsons is a better show now. And that's saying SO much.

This complaint is just as valid as the people who were offended by the zombie baby in 'Dawn of the Dead'

Making jokes about John Merrick is where FG went over the line.

Yep. They made some joke about how a blind date reacted to meeting him. Classy, eh?

When he was on The Tonight Show last year to promote "The Game Plan" Dwayne Johnson said that he was honored to be made fun of on Family Guy as it's one of his favorite shows. He took it all in stride.

I do wonder what other celebrities who don't do guest voices on the show think of parodies of them on Family Guy.

Will Ferrell was the black knight in one episode, then when Family Guy came back they made fun of him and his Bewitched movie.

I did remember Will as the black knight. I doubt he cared they made fun of him though as he seems like a guy who takes nothing seriously.

What I am referring to though is celebrities who have never done Family Guy and their reactions to being made fun of. Not talking about Will Ferrell, James Woods, Drew Berrymore (I think she voiced Brian's ditzy girlfriend), Jessica Biel (I think she voiced Chris' teacher with a huge rack that Chris has a crush on) or Seth Rogen (who guessed voiced recently).
