I thought having no face suited him tbh. I thought it made him really creepy looking and showed how incredibly insane, fearless and unafraid of pain he is. It showed that he has no boundaries or limits and that there isn't anything that he will not do to make his point or to get his message across. I think it would have been great if they left him without his face for longer but it doesn't really matter, I am enjoying Endgame.
