Wow, didnt know that. I don't know if he act but that would have been scary.Marilyn Manson was rumored at one point
So...tim burton?basically any gawky guy with black hair
Sex appeal?why do you think they had that dr. burton guy running arkham in batman forever
Great idea, he would have made a fantastic scarecrow. But I'm like you a major Cillian fan and thought he was one of the best thing in BB, I hope he doesn't die in TDK.So...tim burton?
I hope cillian gets tasered and dragged off by a horse screaming in the 2nd one and the same in the third one like a running gag..get it running
Interesting piece of trivia.Schumacher was reportedly a big Frank Miller fan and wanted to to DKR but because of all the ruckas caused by Batman Returns WB wanted to go lighter. I think JS would have tried to get DKR made in it's proper tone.
You made me LOL all over myself!Sex appeal?
1.I was kidding.1.he would have made a fantastic scarecrow.
2. I hope he doesn't die in TDK.
I try.You made me LOL all over myself!
Of course it would .... But, i still don't want it to happen.dvhyzs i like crane but i still think him getting dragged off would be funny
Not so much. I don't think his heavy influence of german expressionism really fits the world of Batman. Plus his films were more about the villains than the actual character of Bruce Wayne/Batman. They're enjoyable...but not great or Batman in anyway.
Michael Keaton was great. He brought a certain sadness and dignity to the role that were very Dark Knight, he totally respected the character and never winked like Kilmer or Clooney did. He wasn't helped by a very stiff suit but did his best within those constraints. For starters, he would have then made Batman Triumphant with a new actor as Batman and Robin & Batgirl returning to my dismay. After a trilogy of his he may have then did The Dark Knight Returns. That or the studios would have just continued the series with another director. We probably wouldn't have gotten Batman Begins.
I think Burton did an amazing job, they had flaws but overall I loved his films. I think his influence of art deco, 30s/40s, combined with German expressionism fit Gotham perfectly. His films were a bit more about the villains but as he's said numerous times, if you don't understand why you are missing the entire point. I think they were very Batman, Wayne was a conflicted soul and his Batman was mysterious and dark IMO. Can't argue opinions.

That is because Burton can't film action but he sure is great with atmospherics and design, not Keaton's fault. He had a very intense Batman look in his eyes.I didn't like Keaton's Bruce or Batman, I didn't get the vibe he can kick my ass.

Yeah I agree, he is a bit of an acquired taste but some things he does really well, action is not one of them.I think it was a matter of preference. Burton is kind of hit and miss with me I can't quite explain it.
