I've recently collected the Army Of Darkness vs Xena Warrior Princess comics, and it got me to thinking about other comic book crossovers. I've read and heard about some great ones. For example, when Raz Al-Ghul teamed up with The Kingpin and Batman and Spiderman had to team up to take them down. Or when Jigsaw teamed up with The Joker and forced Batman and The Punisher to team up. I remember seeing one with Batman teaming up with Spawn on the shelves once (never read that one though). I've also heard about Marvel/DC crossovers where heroes from both worlds end up fighting each other because of some misunderstanding or other. I understand that there've been Batman vs Dare Devil, Batman vs Wolverine, Superman vs The Incredible Hulk, etc.

What I want to know is, what are some of your favorite comic book crossovers? What ones would you like to see in the future? How do you think the story should go? Here's one I'd like to see...

What if Doomsday found his way to Earth in the Marvel Universe? Here's how I see it being written...

1) When Superman sends Doomsday so far into the future that the Universe collapses, the collapsing of the universe opens a rift in the space time continuum and sends Doomsday into the Marvel Universe. He crashes on Earth and the U.S. government (thinking it's just a meteor) sends a team of scientists with a military escort. When they find the "meteor", Doomsday kills them all but not before they transmit a video image of the alien.

2) General Ross, believing Doomsday to be a Gamma Mutation, sends a team of Hulk Busters to intersept Doomsday. Doomsday destroys them all with little if any effort. Mastermold intersepted the military transmission and, believing Doomsday to be a mutant who's gone mad, sends a batch of sentinals to destroy Doomsday. They also meet with utter disaster.

3) S.H.I.E.L.D. sends in thier big guns, The Avengers, to stop Doomsday (who is now making his steady way towards New York City). Hawkeye, Giant Man, Wasp, and Iron Fist are killed in action. Captain America and Iron Man are critically injured and are out of the fight. She-Hulk, Thor, and Power Man are taking a beating but keep coming back for more.

3) The Fantastic Four arrive to lend assistance. Reed finds his strech powers are of little help against Doomsday and takes quite a pounding. Johnny hits Doomsday with so much heat he collapses from exhaustion without having had much effect. The only thing keeping them from being killed is Sue with her forcefield. Ben pounds Doomsday with everything he's got, only to be pounded back.

4) Doctor Doom arrives and offers Doomsday an aliance. Doomsday responds by crushing Doom's skull. Magneto arrives with Sabretooth, The Blob, Mystique, and Pyro and makes a similar offer. Doomsday snaps Magneto's neck. Horrified, Mystique assumes the form of Juggernaught and hits Doomsday with everything she's got. Doomsday puts his fist through her chest. Sabretooth and The Blob attack simultaniously, only to be sent flying. Pyro hits Doomsday with as much fire as he can muster. Doomsday breaks him in half.

5) She-Hulk, Thor, Power Man, The Thing, Sabretooth, and The Blob all team up to try to take down Doomsday. Doomsday fights his way through and is heading straight towards Charles Xavier's School For The Gifted. The Human Torch, who's recovered enough to "flame on", flies ahead and warns The X-Men. All the children, as well as any X-Man who's mutant ability is no match for Doomsday, evacuates the school. Wolverine, Cyclopse, Jean Grey, Collossus, Rogue, Jubilee, and Gambit all stay behind. Doomsday fights through them too. Rogue tries draining Doomsday's life force and ends up looking like a smaller female version of Doomsday. Collossus and Wolverine get pummeled, but keep fighting. Jubilee is killed. Cyclopse is badly injured, and only Jean Grey's telekinesis is keeping Doomsday from killing him. Gambit, however, lost focus when he saw what happened to Rogue and it cost him his life. Even with the added help of the remaining members of The Avengers, The Fantastic Four, and The Brotherhood, The X-Men are unable to stop Doomsday.

6) The Insidius Six (Doctor Octopus, Shocker, Rhino, The Scorpion, Sandman, and Electro) stand between Doomsday and Downtown Manhatten. They were hired by The Kingpin to stop Doomsday, for there's no profit to be made in a dead city. They hit Doomsday with everything they've got. Sandman, Rhino, and Scorpion fare best. Doomsday rips Doc Oc's mechanical arms off, killing him. He walks right through Electro's lightning bolts and Shocker's electromagnetic blasts. He tears them both apart.

7) Spiderman finds himself an unlikely ally in Bullseye as the two agree to join forces to stop Doomsday. Bullseye was also hired by The Kingpin to stop Doomsday from destroying New York, and gave him the most advanced antiarmour weaponry money can buy. Spidey just wants to stop this monster's murderous rampage. So they agree to team up. Spiderman engages Doomsday in fisticuffs, and during the fight attaches a web fluid reload cannister in between Doomsday's shoulderblades. Bullseye shoots it, exposing the web fluid to the air and causing it to explode, encasing Doomsday in a coccoon of extra strong webbing. The Avengers, The Fantastic Four, The Brotherhood, and The X-Men all show up and start congradultating Spidey. At this point, Doomsday breaks free and the fight is back on.

8) Just as things are looking thier bleakest, along comes Bruce Banner, who was released by the military specifically to stop this particular menace. He activates a device on his wrist, which gives him an electric jolt strong enough to trigger a metamorphasis. He turns into The Hulk and business is about to pick up.

9) Things aren't looking good for the heroes of the Marvel Universe. Hulk, The Thing, She-Hulk, Power Man, The Blob, Wolverine, Colossus, Spiderman, Sabretooth, Rhino, Sandman, Scorpion, Thor, Deadpool, all are giving their all to try to stop Doomsday. Doomsday seems just too tough for them to stop. Then The Sentry arrives to help out.

Between The Hulk, The Sentry, Spiderman, The X-Men, The Fantastic Four, The Avengers, and The Brotherhood, the superheroes (and even the supervillains) of the Marvel Universe finally manage to kill Doomsday... again.

dunno about that Doomsday thing. I'd prefer any and all crossovers done to remain in continuity (even though i know they never will be) and the story you describe has too much major stuff happening to stay in continuity. (and yes i realize you're talking about What If?...s)

You know what i'd like to see though? Black Adam and his country (Khandihar) vs Doom and Latveria.

I'd also like to see some sort of giant cross universe tournament.
some great cosmic fight fan kidnaps all sorts of superheroes from both worlds (any and all who deal primarilly with close combat) and force them to fight it out.

Karate Kid, Batman, Deathstroke, Iron Fist, Shang Chi, Wolverine, Black Knight, Spiderman, Richard Dragon, Lady Shiva, Batgirl, Timber Wolf etc etc.

also Avengers/JLA crossovers are always always a good idea.

One of the worst crossovers I'd ever read was a piece of Fan Fiction on www.thundarr.com. It was called How To Catch A Vampire, and good God was it awful. The author crossed Thundarr with The X-Men and The Incredible Hulk. There was another character that was in the author's previous story, The Mysterious Treasure, that I think was from another comic book, movie, or sci-fi/fantasy novel but I didn't recognize the name. Anyway, I stopped reading when Count Draago was negotiating with the evil mutant Apocolypse and his Four Horsemen.

Personally, if I were to do a Thundarr crossover, I would have him meet the kids from the Dungeons & Dragons Cartoon. Or maybe go back in time and meet King Arthur and The Knights Of The Round Table. Or go further back in time and meet Xena and Hercules. Or even further back in time and meet Conan and Red Sonja. Now those would be Thundarr crossovers worth reading.

Another couple of Crossover comics I enjoyed reading were Ash vs Freddy vs Jason and Hack/Slash vs Chucky. It got me to thinking about some other horror comic crossovers I'd like to see. Like maybe Hack/Slash vs Freddy or Hack/Slash vs Jason. Those would be alot of fun to read.

Hack/Slash from reboot? cause that would be an AWESOME crossover.

I'd like to see Conan meet Hercules.

No, not from Reboot. Hack/Slash is a horror type comic about a girl named Cassie Hack who tours the countryside with her large, somewhat slow, sidekick Vlad. They hunt down slashers (hense the name Hack/Slash), ie: your slasher film type mass murderers who just won't stay dead after you kill them. They hunt them down and cut them up into too many pieces that are too little to hurt anyone ever again. Cassie and Vlad have already crossed paths with Chucky. I'd like to see them take on Freddy and Jason as well.
I'd like to see Conan meet Hercules.

Would that be the Hercules from TV, or the Hercules from Marvel Comics? Either one would be cool, I just want to know whether or not you were thinking Kevin Sorbo vs Ahnuld.

PS: Hack/Slash is slated to be made into a live action motion picture.

Here's another one that might be kinda cool. Buffy The Vampire Slayer meets Blade.

Honestly man, I think Thor could handle Doomsday all on his own, if Supes can defeat him.

I was joking about the Reboot thing. I knew that wasnt what you were talking about. I still stand by my belief that it would have been awesome if you were though.

As far as you're other point I wasnt thinking any particular version of Hercules. Deffinitely not the TV Kevin Sorbo one cause that would be horrible.

I'm thinking Marvel Hercules but from early on when Herc was still young (Still wearing the Lion hide, still using a bow but already a demi-god)

I like the idea of Doomsday going into the Marvel Universe, and to counter another poster, I dont think Thor could handle Doomsday on his own.

But I would like to see him face The Hulk, The Silver Surfer and Ghost Rider, those would be amazing fights.

I'd also like to see The Silver Surfer face Darkseid, Hellboy vs The Thing and Galactus vs Imperiex.

Honestly man, I think Thor could handle Doomsday all on his own, if Supes can defeat him.

You're forgetting that everytime Doomsday is ever beaten, he comes back stronger than before. And he can never be beaten the same way twice. Also, while it was Superman vs Doomsday for much of the fight, the JLA were doing their part in the beginning. And if that blood guy (Bloodhound? Bloodhunter? Bloodlust? I can't remember) and Maxima (now her I remember) had been able to stay by Superman's side throughout the whole fight, Superman might not have died at the end.

Also, Thor recently got his butt handed to him by The Red Hulk. If he could do that to the God Of Thunder, imagine what Doomsday would do to him. No, Thor would put up a mighty fight, but he'd need the help of almost every superpower in the Marvel Universe, both hero and villain, to stop Doomsday.

How bout Galactus shows up and steps on Doomsday? SQUISH

No matter how it would turn out, Bats and Supes wouldn't look at each other the same way again.

Inasmuch as we're counting any S/B issue by Jeph Loeb, they would look at each other in exactly the same way.

 Thor on his own vs Doomsday wouldnt last long.

Here's another one that might be kinda cool. Buffy The Vampire Slayer meets Blade.

willow rosenberg and gabrielle bard of potadia
the ff and the T.H.UN.D.E.R. agents

 Thor on his own vs Doomsday wouldnt last long.
Thor would put up a good fight, but in the end Doomsday would win out if Thor was all on his own. Red Hulk had to take their fight into orbit to be able to use Thor's hammer against him. Doomsday isn't that smart, nor does he know enough about Norse Mytholigy to know that no one but Thor can lift his hammer, or that you can get around that little rule by fighting in a zero grav environment. Thor will hit Doomsday again and again with the hammer; Doomsday will hit back; Thor will get up, dust himself off, then come back for more. Only Thor's devine nature will keep him from being killed outright, but he'll still lose in the end.

A crossover between Hellboy/BPRD and Doctor Who/Torchwood would be pretty amazing, methinks.

Okay.....first off.......I can't begin to tell you what's wrong with that Doomsday crossover idea.....just wow.

Secondly I want to say that I really liked the Marvel Team Up issue that had Spider-man and Invincible....and was set between the panels of the Angstrom levy issues of Invincible.....great story, really fun and well executed.

Something I really want to see was somethign we got a one panel look at in JLA/Avengers.......the worlds were colliding and whatnot and there was one panel of Lobo in the middle of a battle with the Shi'ar imperial Guard.....I would love to see how that ended up playing out.

Fantastic Four/Star Wars

1) in alternate version of the star wars universe, the empire has just discovered the rebels on hoth. meanwhile the empire in atempting to rebuild the death star opens up a portal to the marvel universe.......

2) they tell vader that in the marvel universe there instruments sense a great power. vader goes and tells galactus to come and eat a couple planets for him . if he does he'll teach galactus to tap into the ultimate power source...the force.

3) galactus agrees and eats hoth . the rebels escape, however.

4) the rebels travel onto an imperial ship and nto the marvel universe were they meet the ff. the ff decides to travel to the star wars universe to help destroy the empire. they are joined by :ss: when he heaers his old master is involved.

5) dath vader finds the rebels new base. glactus goes to eat it as part of the deal. in an epic battle the rebels/ff/:ss: destoy the empire an send galactus back innto the marvel universe....

What if Kal El's ship had crashed landed in Marvel's New York State?

What if Bruce Wayne's parents were murdered by Bullseye? Kingpin hires a hit man to take out the Wayne's who have took a stance to end corruption in Gotham City.

What if Galactus came to DC multiverse to devour there many worlds? After decimating the Legion, an uneasy alliance between Darkseid and the many incarnations of heros from the multiverse ban together to stop this on coming threat

What if Peter Parker parents were Thomas & Martha Wayne?

what if bruce wayne was bitten by a radioactive spider...

I dont know, Doomsday (at least the old one) was pretty much unstoppable, even the entire JLA got pummeled by him, I doubt Thor would put up a better fight than them.

Thor would do at least as well as Maxima did. He'll give as good as he gets, but in the end he'll lose. Maybe not die, but lose.

These are some pretty interesting scenarios. Keep them coming.
