"What If...?" Comic Book Crossovers.

Okay, here's my two cents;

1. Hack/Slash vs. Supernatural

Sam and Dean Winchester team up with Cassie and Vlad.

2. BATMAN/BLACK PANTHER

DC's Billionaire detective teaming up wth Marvel's African King

3. What If : TMNT/X-MEN

What if Proff. X found the Ninja Turtles instead of Splinter ? What if Shredder's armour was made out of adamantium ? What if the Foot joined forces with The Hand ? What if the Triceraton's ruled the Savage Land ? What if Magneto got his hands on the Retro-mutagen Ooze ?

I think a Hellboy/Buffy crossover would be nifty :). We'd get some great banter.

Of course it would start out with Sam and Dean mistaking Cassie and Vlad for the bad guys. Then of course Dean will fall for Cassie, only to find out she's into girls.

A crossover between Hellboy/BPRD and Doctor Who/Torchwood would be pretty amazing, methinks.
How about the Doctor return to the Marvel Universe? Hell... they could do the Time War, and show Gallifrey being destroyed by Galactus.

Dont know if I have mentioned it before but a Hellboy vs Ghost Rider story would be awesome. Though GR seems the more powerful, especially these days.

You're forgetting that everytime Doomsday is ever beaten, he comes back stronger than before. And he can never be beaten the same way twice. Also, while it was Superman vs Doomsday for much of the fight, the JLA were doing their part in the beginning. And if that blood guy (Bloodhound? Bloodhunter? Bloodlust? I can't remember) and Maxima (now her I remember) had been able to stay by Superman's side throughout the whole fight, Superman might not have died at the end.

Also, Thor recently got his butt handed to him by The Red Hulk. If he could do that to the God Of Thunder, imagine what Doomsday would do to him. No, Thor would put up a mighty fight, but he'd need the help of almost every superpower in the Marvel Universe, both hero and villain, to stop Doomsday.

Holy crap, did you just cite something regarding the Red Hulk as an argument point? Are you going to cite BP's armbar on SS as a reason that Ant-man can beat SS next?!?!
Here's a rule of thumb: If the writing for a comic is so ******ed/inconsistent that it's simultaneously vomitously disgusting AND laughable, don't ever cite it to back up your argument.

Those of you commenting on Doomsday beating Thor without much difficulty MUST be talking about classic Thor. I haven't read the last few Thor issues, but I do know that current Thor has Odinforce, and not only destroyed the Destroyer armor without much difficulty, but even recreated all of Asgard with nothing more than a thought.

DD goes down against that level of power without a doubt.

P.s. The Rulk incident was pure ******ation obviously. I can't respect anyone who cites it as anything other than a grievous example of comic writing at its worst.

I'd like to see another Batman/Punisher crossover. I'd have Punisher show up in Gotham and start killing escapees from Arkham. No one anyone's really gonna miss, obviously, but characters who pop up in Batman comics from time to time.

1) He starts with that serial killer who scars his own body after every kill (I can't even remember his name he's so damn important).

2) Then The Punisher kills Solomon Grundy (... born on a Monday...), then later Killer Crock.

3) Then The Punisher kills a couple of the more cerebral, but still less than memorable, Gotham criminals. I was thinking The Ventriloquist and The Mad Hatter. Maybe even Scarecrow.

4) He then guns down Two Face's entire gang, but only grievously wounds Two Face (he winds up in the Arkham infirmery, in intensive care).

5) Then The Punisher goes after The Joker, but Batman steps in. Batman tries to talk The Punisher into turning himself in, to leave Gotham's criminals to him and the police. Frank scoffs at that suggestion, pointing out how many times Batman had put Joker into Arkham only to have him later escape and cause more harm. "How many times have you locked that lunatic away? Huh? How many times has he gotten out? How many people did he kill before you put him back in? How many people would be alive today had you simply snapped his damn neck the first day you and he ever met?" Then they wind up fighting.

6) I'd also have Punisher deduce Batman's secret identity. Seriously, any detective with half a brain could probably figure it out. Batman stays mainly in Gotham, which means he's likely a longtime resident. He has a personal vendetta against the criminal element, which many costumed vigilantes do. And all those nifty gadgets and armoured vehicles must cost a small fortune to build and maintain, not to mention hide. Which means Batman must be very wealthy. While many of Gotham's wealthy elite might meet the first and last criteria, only Bruce Wayne matches all three.

If I remember correctly.....

At the end of the whole Marvel vs DC/Amalgam storyline it was planned for Thor to remain in the DC Universe and Captain Marvel (Billy Batson) was suposed to remain in the Marvel Universe....

But it all fell apart contractwise

Only if you're talking about something behind the scenes, cuz in the comics there's no hint of anything like that.

That would have sucked. We lose our mightiest hero and get a 13 year old boy in exchange? I'm glad that never happened.

Also i've never really been on board with the idea of that sort of trade. Unless you're uprooting the character plus their supporting cast and a select few of their rogues it takes away too much from them.

I guess it would be alright for a mini or something but anything longer than a couple issues i think would suffer for the trade.

You know a fight which would pretty one-sided but would be VERY funny and entertaining would Hellboy vs Thor, HB would have so much fun ripping the way Thor speaks, he'd get knocked out for it of course, but that that would be funny.

Saying, HB is pretty tough in his own right, but Thor would probably be too much for him.

You know what? It would have been worth it for one time in goddamn ever him being able to be in a comic actually called Captain the Goddamn Marvel.

Written by Frank Miller, right? :oldrazz:

BTW, on the "Doomsday in Marvel" debate, if DD proves to be that much of a problem, couldn't Richards or Dr. Strange or someone send him to some other dimension?

yeah like he did to the hulk once

I've always wanted to see a Wolverine/Batman pairing, starting off with a well-displayed misunderstanding fight. Of course I mean the Wolverine who actually had some TRAININ', not the crap version runnin' around today.

I've always liked it when they play up Logan's samurai background, which is ironic, as I'm not usually a Wolvie fan, nor am I big on Japanese stuff (aside from sushi, love me some sushi).

I want a What If? where Ben Grimm is the test pilot that Abin Sur gives the GL ring too.

:D

THAT would be interesting to see. He and Kilowog would get along famously.

Someone who could laugh at Guy's jokes and tell him to shut up in the same breath. And it wouldn't take Ben long before he started pranking Kyle.

:gl: :gl: :gl:

The big question would be, would he still become the Thing? As a GL, he'd have a ton of interaction with cosmic rays.
