Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with how Bane was treated. They definitely made him an intimidating bad-ass but am I wrong to say that Nolan would've did AMAZING with the Riddler? This is the same dude who could do psychological thrillers after all. I would've loved seeing the Riddler as a villain in the Nolanverse. It would've been sick seeing Bale take on DiCaprio. Sadly, Bale is rivals with DiCaprio...which is probably the main reason we didn't see this direction.

Nolan + Leo Riddler would've been amazing. I'm glad we got Bane instead though.

Agreed, he would've fit right in. No changes would have to be made to his character, unlike Bane.

Leo would have been amazing in the movie!

He's one of the best actors right now!

I don't think DiCaprio would be interested in that kind of role?

Though it's highly unlikely, if they ever reunited the cast and crew for a movie that were to take between Batman Begins and the Dark Knight, I think Leo as the Riddler would be the perfect choice.

Nolan didn't understand Riddler with his line calling him too similar to Joker. I often wonder how much he really understood Batman. I prefer Bane in the comics to movie Bane outside of the outfit. Comics outfit Bane is terrible. I'm sure with how Nolan would have treated Riddler I would prefer comics riddler. So far I prefer every villain in the comics to how they were treated in this series. Lucious Fox isthe only one in the movies I prefer to their comics counterpart. He dropped the ball with Ras, Scarecrow, and Catwoman hard.

They would probably have made him more like he is in the comics right now. The brilliant, methodical, creepy, somewhat anti-social mastermind. It would have been cool to see. However, I really liked Bane, so I can't complain.

His characterization (and Anne's performance) as Selina/Catwoman was fine, its just visually she did not look the part and it was distracting. I also wasn't a fan of the costume.

The movie Bane costume was definitely a vast improvement. But isn't the Scarecrow comic costume too over the top to bring to live action as well?

How did she not look the part, she was the spitting image of Catwoman to me. Also, the costume was an updated version of Julie Newmar, and sexy as hell. Ra's was much more interesting in Nolan films than he is in the comics, at least recently.

Riddler has a LOT of similarities to Joker but he's also opposite of him in many ways. But no matter what, it was never a good idea to use him in the movie after TDK, which was a crime film featuring Joker...the thin, purple & green wearing villain who played mindgames and left clues for Bats and the police to find. Sound familiar?

That would be cool. I don't think it works before Joker. I prefer a story right after TDK or with JGL's character to have Riddler than before Joker makes his entrance.

Given how Batman initially wrote the Joker off towards the beginning of TDK,I see your point. I also agree that the Riddler or Black Mask would be great choices for a John Blake Batman movie.

I saw this a few years back and I thought it would have been an amazing choice.

Why the no? I liked how he did Doctor Horrible. I think if they pushed it a bit more serious then he could play a great Riddler.
