What if Loeb wrote Hush Returns instead?

Maybe to revive Gotham Knights and the Hush character himself...maybe they should take that out of continuity and redo a better one. :P

Hush was napalm on Batman continuity, there was nowhere to advance such a limited and artificial creation. The series forced other writers into the impossible situation of accommodating an illogical, gimmick driven storyline to fit into a more realistic landscape the mythos had become in the past few decades.
The main theme originally should have been closed up by the end of Hush, but Loeb has never had enough discipline as a writer to properly end storylines - unearned, improbable shocking moments don't count.

I more or less agree with this. Leiberman wrote a pathetic story, but Hush as a character never worked from the start. The only person Hush made any sense as was Tommy, and all that leaves you with is a pretty generic revenge plot. Outside of that, the villian is nothing. He was a one note character and bringing him back never would have worked.
