I still can't get over the lack of trunks on the MOS suit. It makes it look...incomplete, somehow.

SR is my second favourite Superman movie. But the MoS suit is better. And I find NOTHING wrong about SR suit btw.

What will the movie be like? I can't tell.

I'm disliking the new super-suit thus far... so I have to go with Superman Returns for now. The only thing I really "hate" about the SR suit is the S on the chest. It was too small and too streamlined. I think the new suit is too much of a departure from what we know as Superman. For me, they've taken the liberties just a little too far with their alterations.

I would have to go with the SR suit for now, because I havent seen much of the MOS suit, but from what I have seen, the lack of trunks is really distracting to me, and I'm not someone who thinks they are essential to the look. I just think the way they have done it doesnt look right.

So, SR for me, but that could change once we get footage.

As a Superman suit....SR, but it is truly just the lesser of two evils.

However as a super-hero suit MOS.....by a wide margin.

If they make a Justice League movie, then I would prefer Superman to look more like Old Superman and not like some generic Super hero, and for that purpose I would prefer Superman Returns Suit with minor modifications.

So, SR suit is definitely better than MoS suit.

I like them both. Variety, baby. I love that these things get chanaged and altered and we see different versions.

Man of Steel looks like a cross between Jim Lee style and the 40's Superman comics. Whereas Superman Returns is a cross between the Reeve costume and the Fleisher cartoon costume. The Returns one is very elegant and streamlined, whereas the MoS costume looks dirtier, more alien.

MoS for me. Even though the SR suit is the more faithful to the original design...

The MoS suit makes Henry Cavill look more Super than the suit in SR did for Brandon Routh.

Which is in no way a swipe at Brandon. I think he did the best with what he had to work with. I blame the costume designer for a costume which did not do him any justice and also the directors/producers or whoever it was that did not let Brandon continue to train and bulk up as he could have done.

Routh's suit was too...Childish, to campy with all those "S's" everywhere, "S" on his boots, all over the suit, on his belt, the "S" on his chest was so freakin tiny there wasn't nothing Super about it.

IMO both suits have their flaws...but I have to give my vote to the MOS suit because I like the colors better as well as the S-shield (in both size and style).
