I want to try some Turtles comics. How is that series?

I like it. I also liked the Batman Crossover. I’m interested to check out the new one with Bane

Oh yes, I remember seeing something about that. Definitely want to read that too. I hadn't heard about Bane. As in Batman's Bane is crossing over with Turtles?

Judge Dredd: Complete Case Files vol 05
First and second stories.

The Men in Black
1-3

So Jay was originally white, Kay wore his shades 24/7, Zed is -more or less- and artificial intelligence.
Issue 1 deals with drug lords.

Issue 2 deals with scavenging aliens. Remember that scene from the first movie with angry farmer John going out to get eaten by a giant alien cockroach stealing his skin? They took the shot of alien bugs landing their ship in his farm from this issue, and no killing happened.

Issue 3 involves a demon.

"Murderworld!" written by Chris Claremont with art by Dave Cockrum

I read the first part of this story arc as a kid in an reprinted issue of X-Men Classic #49 and I only recently got around to reading the rest of the story arc and wow is it excellent. A team of X-Men led by Storm have been captured last issue by Dr. Doom and Arcade. In this issue a second team made up of Banshee, Polaris, Havok and Iceman attempt to rescue their teammates and other hostages. They immediately get separated and have to fight their way through various traps set specifically for them just like the other X-Men. Meanwhile Storm has been frozen in carbonite by Doctor Doom and her subconscious has unleashed an epic storm. Elsewhere Cyclops who previously quit the team becomes shipwrecked and has lost his ruby quartz sunglasses as he's also being effected by Storm's out of control powers. The second team manage to escape from their traps and find the hostages but are forced to leave without the original team of X-Men. At the end it looks like Nightcrawler has managed to teleport of of his trap.

"Rogue Storm!" written by Chris Claremont art by Dave Cockrum

The thrilling conclusion to the X-Men's confrontation with Doctor Doom and Arcade! This is some of my favorite Dave Cockrum artwork in this series especially the way he draws the traps that each of the X-Men are put into. Although I can see classic FF fans not particularly liking the depiction of Doom here as he becomes infatuated with Storm and basically lets the X-Men go after Arcade is forced to apologize to him. Still it was a pretty exciting conclusion to this story arc.

Summary

After Nightcrawler's daring escape last issue he finds himself teleported miles above Doom's castle during a violent storm and is now free falling. Finally finding the strength to save himself by slowing his descent but he still falls into the icy water below. The X-Men one by one manage to escape their specially made death traps with Wolverine confronting Doctor Doom first and then being joined by Nightcrawler. Doom releases Storm from being frozen in carbonite after Wolverine threatens to unleash his claws into Doom's helmet. The stress of being confined was too much for Storm and she unleashes her destructive powers on Doom and her friends. Confronted by the rest of the X-Men she is able to get her powers under control leaving Doom in complete awe of her. He accepts an apology from Arcade and then the X-Men leave. The end of the issue shows Cyclops and Lee Forrester shipwrecked after the storm breaks looking out at an island city that wasn't there before. I thought this was an interesting tease leading into the next issue and look forward to finding out what's in store for them.
