Many were disappointed, many loved it and many are still confused as to where the spark from Season 1 went.

New characters like Maya,Alejandro,Kensei/Munro,Bob,Elle and Monica had significant screen time while the heavy hitters of Season 1 like Nathan and Peter were bumped off the starting lineup.

There was so much potential to explore the past group of heroes, heck the season was entitled Generation, yet they barely scraped the surface giving us vague answers and no specifics.Instead,we got Heroes 90210,Hiro the motor mouth trapped in Japan for 9 episodes,Wonder Twins taking 8 episodes to reach the US border, and to add insult to injury, the disappointing and totally phoned in death on DL.

Even with the finale tonight,I feel there is no saving grace for this season.

We'll have to see. Great concepts, but poor execution so far.

Lots of pointless deaths/new characters/backstories. As of now, I really don't sympathize with any of the characters the way I did last year.

I voted for okay, not as good as season 1.
There were some moments that I absolutly loved from this season, but as a whole it lacked the consistency of the first one.
Third season's the charm I guess.

I voted for "It had its moments, but disappointing overall"

The whole thing with Nightmare man and segments of the Virus story (not all of it) were the only things that kept me interested (which was about 20 min of the season), but everything else around and beyond that just plain sucked and was out of character and cringe worthy.

Agreed. There were a lot of scenes I loved. But there were a lot of scenes that I hated too. Why bring DL back just to kill him 20 minutes later? ARGH!

Crappy . I hated the slow storylines . I understand the Slow Buildup for season 1 . But this show did not need a slow Buildup for season 2 . The show needs alot more action . And they need to hire some new writers . The show was really boring this year . But I will give this show one more chance next year

Of everything that sucked in season two (wonder twins, Sylar, Monica & Micah & Niki) that is what sucked the most. Of all the characters to save from the crap storyline of season one... Niki is the one to make it out with a whole new stupid personality and Micah has a fat cousin who has no idea how to interact with other humans.

It was okay, not as good as Season 1. I don't get why there's so much hate for this season though, they tried some new stuff and realized it didn't work (the creator even said so). So at least we know that when volume 3 rolls around, we won't have to deal with some more pointless love stories.

Kring 'man'ing up and saying it sucked.... doesn't make it not suck.

The only thing that would make season 2 not suck anymore, is completely redoing it when the writers come back.

And why is everyone thinking Volume 3 = Season 3?

Writer's Strike fool. Tonight's the last episode ever!!! :abom::brucebat::bh::im::dkm:

I meant besides the writer's strike. And NBC is even confident enough to call this episode the "fall finale" of Heroes... hopefully Tuesday will bring good news.

Yeah what pissed me out about those is that after the buildups, which were a bit long but managed not to beat a dead horse, the stories just sorta ended and disappeared after half an episode.

The pacing was just messed up overall, both with the good and the bad stories.

I give it a 7 out of 10. Overall, it kept me entertained, if not as drawn in as Season One (which for me was as close to perfection as you can get). The series didn't really get good until Episode 5, then faltered at Episode 8, ascended to Season One-level awesomenss with Episode 9, then faltered a bit. I can only hope tonight will be worth it.

I voted for "It had its moments, but disappointing overall". Hopefully tonight's finale can change my opinion, or it at least can be better than last season's finale.

Am I the only one who didn't find anything all that wrong with How To Stop An Exploding Man?

it had its moments, but it never learned it's lessons from season 1

I think what really ****ed this season over was the writer's strike, because in my opinion the season was off to a really good start and then once it hit the "Four Months Ago" episode it just got really crappy. Mediocre writing all around. Still no concrete backstory on the Original Heroes. And what the hell was the point of Maya and Alenjandro? Same for Monica? I'm guessing the writer's had plans for them but due to the strike.....yeah.

I voted "...disappointing."

I thought it was ok. I enjoyed it enough to want to watch it over again.

why not?! makes perfect sense. season 1 had 23 chapters, greg(the director), said tonights ep is the end of chapter 2 end of season 2. and chapter 3 begins the new season. he also said that kring wanted to design smaller volumes thats why we got 11 chapters this season and 23 last season.

Don't know why everyone is *****ing, it's good reasoning to refer volume 3 as season 3. if kring wanted to get more story in one volume he should've developed more chapters but he didn't.

Except he said at the beginning of the season that this season would probably consist of two chapters. He said vol.2 wouldnt consist of all Season2.

You are stupid. Kring has openly said that the one story throughout the whole season was too much. So they would split the next ones into two volumes.

And just because Kring wants smaller volumes... doesn't mean NBC is going to cut their seasons down. And where the hell have you been for the last two years, with Adam in that grave?

Fall finales are the new thing so now every show ends about now and picks back up in the spring. This one just has a writer's strike to be done with soon before it can start up again.
