Nextwave is so so. Its not really a must read.
Maybe not to you. But to me and so many others, it is comedy perfection.

Ok, what makes it stand out from the rest? What makes it a must read?

Current books I read that kicka$$:

ASM (CW tie-ins only)
Black Panther
Captain America
Daredevil
FF (CW tie-ins only)
Incredible Hulk
Invincible Iron Man
Moon Knight
Ultimates 2
Ultimate Fantastic Four
Civil War

Finished up but kicka$$:

Ares
Thing
Young Avengers

Don't read but see praise for:

Runaways,She-Hulk,Nextwave,X-Factor

whatever, it's not for everyone. It's more like a satire on comics and superheroes, and some people tend to be offended by satires.

INCREDIBLE HULK!

Ultimates 2
Civil War
X Factor
Daredevil
Punisher

Nextwave does kick nuts and so does She-Hulk. She-Hulk is written better though. It's probably the best written comic out there. Yeah, I went there.

DC has some very good comics but, Marvel has way more controversy and tension going around. There's no such thing as bad publicity after all.

see, I LOVE She-Hulk and Runaways and a bunch of other titles, but to me, they don't qualify as "kick-ass". "Kick-Ass" is a seperate category. The ony two current Marvel titles I can confidently say "kick ass" on a regular basis are Daredevil and Nextwave

You get it or you don.t You don't get it. :doom:

Daredevil gets my vote. Sure, I have a bias, but the numbers don't lie. The last two issues have sold out in 3 of the local shops.

then those three stores aren't being run very well and really need to up their orders

I forgot to mention She-Hulk---->>> damn fine book.

Amen, brotha! 'Bout time Ms. Walters got some love on this board.

And while I like Civil War I feel like I bought into a marketing ploy. I think it was done to get new readers.

Can we be best friends?

I like this ones

ultimates 2

xmen

new avengers

civil war

thunderbolts (cw tie-ins)

ultimate FF

Incredible Hulk is kicking ass ever since Planet Hulk started:up:

It's not the deepest read you'll find but there are asses being kicked and it is kick ass

Astonishing X-Men and Daredevil are Marvel's most kick-ass books on a consistent basis

I'm very much enjoying Civil war, CW: Frontlines, Wolverine, Captain America, the civil war crossover of Thunderbolt, and I personally love Cable & Deadpool.
I also slightly am begenning to enjoy Wolverine Originas and Ultimate Spider-Man.
