Blue Marvel was pretty cool, I was feeling I was the only guy buying his book for a while, which is sad cause it was pretty interesting.

Truth was a good book yoda, you should check it out. The idea that they were trying with more "captain america" type experiments is something I'm surprised it took so long to go with.

I wish I'd tried the Blue Marvel stuff at the time. It seemed similar to the Sentry on the surface, though, so I just ignored it.

It was more superman but dealing with race relations early on. It was a surprisingly deep read with the concepts.

I mean you're superman but you have a country that's just not ready for you, not because you have super powers and could take over the world easily but because of deep seeded prejudice. It would be so much easier if you were just an alien but because you're just a black guy people won't accept you at this level. The science behind how his powers worth along with his character are also interesting and unique.

They weren't blood relatives. The Catholic church would still accept him provided he felt appropriately guilty about the whole thing.

Anyway, I love Nightcrawler. I especially love it when they get the mixture right for his personality. People seemed to see "priest" and write him as this somber, boring, personality-less husk for a while. The guy has a naturally upbeat personality bolstered by his rock-solid certainty in his faith--he should be bouncing off the walls with happiness and energy.
