As it seems most people want Sylar dead, we have to ask what type of villain can/will/should replace him?

Should it be someone conniving like Adam?

Someone with wealth and power ala Linderman/Bob/Arthur?

Another psycho like Sylar?

For me, I'd mostly want someone who has an ability that has multiple layers (like telekinesis does) but knows how to "fight" strategically and plan. Someone who, while their power is layered, isn't all too powerful; its just that the person knows how to handle it so well that they are more formidable simply because of the brains behind the brawn.

My ideal villain would be like a DBZ type character (perhaps even a team of villains like the Ginyu Force, cheesy I know, but no where near the strangth of Goku or whomever); one who was fast, agile, strong and can control Ki. Factor in a Batman like approach of planning/knowing your enemy, then take it from there. As for the motivation, I'm not quite clear on what would satisfy me.

What say you all?

I'd like to keep DBZ, and multi-powered characters, far from Heroes. It would kinda kill the show for me.

But I do like the idea of someone with a long-range plan in mind, doing a couple Xanatos Gambits, it would be even cooler if it were someone from the 12 who had faked their death to get away from Adam. Ideally, they should have a power which seems to be useless, but turns out to be very useful, and very well trained. Ideally, a power whose true nature is not immediately clear when it is first seen.

Their 'army' if you will should be composed of people they have personally recruited and include guest characters from previous episodes and comics. Immerse them in the universe, use them to tie up loose ends and answer old questions, while providing new ones. Let them be a love interest for one of the main characters, such as Tracy, or even Angela.

Basically, someone who will be what Adam was supposed to be before the original Season 2 storyline got gutted.

A villain that ages, dies...then rejuvinates and ages again...he has done this for many ages as he works towards his long ago created plan not to kill everyone, but to bring back the dead specials that had been slain by normals.

He can only bring three people back each time he rez's. By rezing them, he has the power to control them. He believes that bringing harmony to the world means bringing back those fallen specials and FORCING normals and specials to live peacefully under a dictorship rule...where death is the penalty for murder. (irony)

ok, that's all I've got. *shrugs* :P

They should just bring Adam back, killing him was a very bad idea. He could have been a 2 main villain. The actor did a brilliant job of him two. Really I want some one who's really smart, has maybe not to big of a power like Sylars to where he's supper powerful. I would also like him to maybe be a bit funny, I some times like villains that are funny.

This this this, oh mah goodness this.

It seems as though most of the villains on this series lack the kind of depth and foresight to have a long-term goal in mind. Sylar? He just likes killing people. Adam? Well, he wanted revenge against the 12 (at least it's what it wound up being, I'm convinced he would have become THE villain should they have kept the plan intact). Arthur? Please. Synthetic abilities to do what exactly? And Danko, just hunt down people with abilities. None of them (although Arthur I supose could be close) have anything more sinister than just killing people. Granted that's fairly evil, but with Sylar lopping heads off left and right, we've kind of been over that by now.

Something I just thought of. Imagine a villain who's only ability was total memory recall. Like say, anything he experienced he was able to remember instantly and could react in kind. He could amass a vast amount of knowledge as well as apply and analyze previous experiences and make practical application of it as well. You could be as farfetched as remembering being shot at to analyze trajectories and develop combat techniques (a la the whole Gun Kata idea from Equilibrium) to counter those. Or some other ridiculousness. But you could develop a villain who could be a serious contender using a seemingly innocuous talent.

Granted, it's just an example. Probably not the best, but I think it could be solid.

289048903583590% AGREED! Adam was an awesome villain. The thing i liked about him is that his mind was dangerous not his power. He had to be cunning and trick people. All Sylar has to do is lift a finger and then everybody dies, that's boring. Adam was also very debonair. His healing power should have evolved though. I'm still pissed that they killed him :cmad: How they killed him was even worse.

I really liked Adam, and think it is a pity he never got to interact with Claire. There could've actually been a very interesting dynamic there. Claire has all kinds of daddy issues and is always on the whole "No one gets me thing." Adam could've manipulated that perfectly as he would be the only person who could truly get her. I also think they wasted the hell out of Linderman.

That said, there is no way to bring them back. Heroes already has a problem with deathes being cheap. Reviving these characters would simply make that even more so true.

I'd kind of like to see a Magneto-esque character. Fugitives saw the meta-humans being hunted by humans. I'd like to see a charasmatic leader of the powered people step up to rally others and fight back.

I would love a villian like the members of the Noah family in Dgrayman perhaps even a group of powered beings. Also I want a villian to have one power that kicks ass as opposed to dozens.

A good one. I dont care what kind they give us, I just dont want Villains to happen all over again.

The guy who played Arthur Petrelli looked like Brian Cox. If you close your eyes and pretend it is Brian Cox, Villains actually gets better.........but then you re-open them, realize it's not and die a little inside :csad:

I'd like to see a female villain and from what Fuller has been telling us, we're getting it next volume.

Arthur was the least of the problems with the Villains arc. While he was rather disappointing, I though Robert Forster did a helluva job.

I was more talking about the overhyped "villains" from Level 5. They were referred to as being "10 Sylars on the loose", while I doubt any of them could handle even one round with Clairebear. I wanted deranged sociopaths with scary ass powers, not some two-bit hood that could scream loud, or some dumbass that could shoot fire out of his hands...
Here's what I want: crazy ass schizophrenic guy with the power to clone himself.

Angelas sister could come back as the female villian. maybe she could be the second in command for a new villian. cos i dont think she could be the sole bad guy (girl).

I'd rather see Tracey as the villain, she has better villainess feeling than Alice.

Alice could never be anything other then a henchman IMO. It would be kind of weird if Tracey turned villain since Cold Snap hinted she was softening a bit (especially with the whole "sacrificing herself for Micah" bit).

I dont even care about the xmen parallels but I want a Magneto type character who wants to rally the specials together and put them on the offensive after Fugitives but alas the hunt for people with abilities will prolly be wrapped up next season. I just really want them to make it common knowledge that people have abilities. Enough regular people have either developed or seen people use abilities now that it should be getting around in the heroes-verse that people with powers exist damnit!

Bring in the Third Sister as one of the new villians.

Tracy vs Barbara?

it would be good seeing her play two roles at once.

K, so I'm positive I'm in the minority here.
But I'd actually like to see Luke come back as some kinda villain.
I was starting to think that maybe they'd actually develop some more Sylar sort of taking him under his wing "Know your endgame before you lift a finger..." "What else?" etc, just kinda gave me that vibe...
I like his power for a badass type character. Not the most original ability, but then again this is HEROES.
I was thinking maybe they could have reintroduced him before the end of this Volume or whenever it'd be applicable, and have him see Sylar get killed...giving him motivation for revenge against our heroes/whoever was responsible. Probably those damn Petrellis.
I dunno, just saying.
I'm sure most of you don't want to see that, but I wouldn't mind. :) Cause then Sylar would be dead...but his legacy would kind of live on as another villain's motivation...and it'd almost (not quite, but almost) be like how they had all this development between Hiro and Adam that gave them a whole backstory for vengeance. I dunno! You guys I'm sure have better ideas...

Adam Monroe was fantastic, then out of nowhere, he became a plot device for Arthur Petrelli. Damn the writer's strike...

A villian that can die and be defeated. The reasons why Sylar doesnt work bc he cant die nor can he be defeated (at least hte show refuses to allow it to happen)

Sylar is basically the star of the show, that's why the refuse to kill him. He certainly gets more screen time then any other character.

Sylar has fallen of a roof, been electrocuted, stabbed, blown up, virused, and mind warped. Sylar will never die.

and this was one of the things killing the show. He should have been killed off for good in season 2. They could have kept him on in a limited capacity but revolving the show around him was a bad decision

i think i want that Magneto-esque characters yall are talking about, but how about it be BARBARA!

i think it would be really really stupid to have Tracy die (again) and then bring in Barbara. ya know, like how Jessica died and Tracy came in. its WAY too cheap. i say put them both in the show, and even have Barbara try to get Tracy to join her. but eventually Tracy becomes the hero shes supposed to be.

Oddly enough, that sounds alot like Micheal Myers from the Halloween series :wow:
