That's what I voted for too. The first two weeks of August are usually still filled with blockbusters and by the time August rolls around, most of the big guns will have already fired leaving Wolverine with little real competition and yet, it'll still be early enough in the summer to still have big crowds. Remember guys, Wolverine maybe the star of the X-men movies, but it's yet to be proven whether or not he can open a movie huge by himself in early or late May. Now, if Wolverine opens HUGE in august(like X-men numbers) and they make a sequel, THEN he can get a May date.

First week of August.

Since Hugh is filming one movie in October and another in February, he'll probably be *filming* Wolverine in November 07.

October,November, or december. The film will most likely be dark...putting it in may when big summer movies tend to come out will be a bad move (BO wise)

November '08...its not gonna be big enough to be released in the summer...Winter is too dead...if they release it in Fall, it'll have no direct competition...I mean in its genre...comic-book/action/sci-fi...huge built in fan base a PG-13 rating...no studio has ever really risked releasing a so-called summer potential movie of this type of franchise in the Fall...it will work...they need to get it out by, before or after the 22nd Bond film. What else is coming in '08...Prince Caspian?

i want November because i am guessing wolverine will be a cold movie, so just before winter would get most people in the mood for this movie. PS that was just a load of BS i just think Nov is a good time to rake some mulla in

August...I think if you put it towards the end of the summer season it will do well, since very little comes out in August that would compete with Wolverine.

It doesnt matter about competition, if say a romantic comedy comes out as if it is gonna affect Wolverine

Interesting question. First reaction is springtime, or early summer...to hit on the summer blockbuster thing. However...maybe they aren't shooting for a blockbuster here...maybe they want something else, something more solid...

So, my second reaction is winter. If they shoot a lot of snowy winter scenes (which seem to fit Wolvie so well), then I would love to watch a wintery film during the winter season (in the northern hemi). Ever watch a winter movie in the middle of summer - it just doesn't feel right.

Therefore, I'm going with December. Might tap into the Christmas break thing, and give older teens and adults something fun to watch will the little ones are watching a kiddie flick.
