Has rockstar said anything yet?

Anybody got any good ideas?

The PS3 is getting a trophy patch soon

Did rockstar say anything about where they might have the next GTA take place and who the next character might be if they ever make another GTA?

No, they are still focused on GTA IV. They have been working on the episodic DLC for the 360 version. The first one should be released early next year and they still have 1 more to go after taht

You got it for the wrong system dude. Xbox 360 has the two exclusive things, which may or may not take place in new cities. They've been saying the first one has 15 hours of gameplay, and the 2nd one will probably be the same. So they won't even start working on a whole new game till late next year, I'm sure.

the 360 version is vastly inferior to the PS3 one from my experience. Everything feels dumbed down in it.

Haha I had GTA: Vice City but now I have GTA: San Andreas. I also had the first GTA. That game is sick but parents complain because they think it has something to do with gun crime. BS!

You are just grasping at air there. I own both consoles and have spent a good amount of time with both versions and the differences are small at best. Plus with the DLC the 360 is getting, there is no argument as to what version is better.

I remember the first time i played GTA III, my dad came into the room and asked me why i was beating up an old lady. I basically told him because i had never done that in a game before.

I was about to say huh? Thats a bold statement to just drop without backing it up. As of now, there is minimal difference between the 2 versions. They are the same game and the main thing that will seperate them is the 360s episodic content which has yet to drop.

Which im begining to wonder if it ever will drop. I have a funny feeling itll slip into 09.

whenever the next gta drops, i can only hope they revisit san andreas. :woot:

Id prefer for a brand new location. While I loved the city in GTAIV, I hated that they called it Liberty City, considering it had virtually little to no physical connection to the one seen in GTA3. I would love to see a state like the one in San Andreas, but dont want a repeat of SA

They do this with every generation of games. The first in a series is always in Liberty City. GTA I was in Liberty city for the first section of the game, then you moved to Vice City, then to San Andreas (which was just a city, if I remember right). Then GTAII you were back to Liberty City. Then same again with GTA III. None of the Liberty Cities resembled each other at all. Liberty City is just another way of saying "this generations stand in for New York City," and that's where the similarities stop.

Also, I've played both PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, and while the graphics are a bit crisper on the PS3, the initial load time is actually longer, and the pop up is the same on both versions.

Oh, and I think it was confirmed a while back that the DLC has been pushed to Spring 09.

I have played both on the 360 and PS3 and i think the online for the PS3 is better then the 360

I disagree. I literally got frustrated with teh 360 version because the draw distance was so bad. I'm not saying the game is bad on the 360. Just clearly superior on the PS3. There are so many more small touches on that version.

There really aren't, man. They are the exact same game.

Huh  I didn't understand that.

Where you talking about GTA I at first? GTA I took place in Anywhere City.

San Andreas was a State, not a City. Los Santos was Los Angelas, San Fierreo was San Fransico, and Los Ventras was Los Vegas.

GTA II also took place in Anywhere City.

Or were you saying that GTA I took place in three Cities?

The next GTA should take place in London or Toyko. Rockstar should go international this time. But at the same time I wanna see a new version of Vice City like they did Liberty City in GTA IV with the same graphics. And a new San Andreas with GTA IV graphics starring a Mexican man.

You're right on San Andreas. It had 3 major cities, and several smaller towns and countryside.

GTA1 did take place in Liberty City though with GTA2 in Anywhere City: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_City_(Grand_Theft_Auto)#Grand_Theft_Auto_rendition
