Hi, I just saw Hairspray Live and I absolutely loved it! What do you want to see next?

I didn't put anything like Hamilton on the poll because let's be honest, they won't be making that into a live show or movie for a few years at least.

Personally I would love to see them do Wicked. It's popular enough but it looks like there's nothing happening on the movie front at the moment so this is probably the best way to see it for people who can't get to a theatre district. Also it's probably more suitable for stage than a movie IMO

I choose The Color Purple and Phantom of the Opera, although I think they tend to go for something more upbeat.

A full re-enactment of Dragon Ball Z. :o

Yeah I agree, and it's kind of nice to have something light that moves people.

I suppose technically they already did the phantom of the opera when they did that live at the royal opera house thing

The Fantasticks, but with an A-list cast to make up for the simplicity of the show itself.

Godspell or Jesus Christ Superstar would also be good.

Definitely Wicked. Hairspray was the first of these live events that I've actually enjoyed (minus a few bad casting choices like Ariana Grande) I'd love to see them give Wicked a try though

Rent might be good if they can avoid doing what they did in the awful film adaptation.

The Nightman Cometh.

I'd love to see Phantom of the Opera too. With Sierra Boggess, of course.

You're A Good Man Charlie Brown is a no-brainer for this format as well. I want Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Snoopy!

You know there's already a DVD of that, right? No offense, just making sure, because it's fantastic.

I do know there's a DVD but I have yet to see it in full because I can't find it on streaming.

Just buy it, it is worth every penny. I've watched it over and over already, it's pretty much paid for itself.

Something old like Babes In Arms would be also good.

Curiously, I think A Little Night In Music would also be ideal for this kind of format. The show contains roles for actors of multiple generations, so you can cast someone like Catherine Zeta Jones for the parents and someone like Ariana Grande for the teens, and it still works. Also, the show is written in a way where the actors in the principal roles don't really have to be that strong in singing; in most productions of the show, the best singers are the five chorus members who don't really have named parts. So they can stunt cast the major roles and use lesser-known Broadway powerhouses to do the heavy lifting.

I like the idea of doing something old too.

Calamity Jane might be fun. It would need a slight update but that's ok, that's part of the fun with shows like this

That's actually one of the reasons I included hello dolly on the list actually. Because I saw Bette Miller was playing the lead on Broadway and I thought "oh my gosh how cool would that be to see?"

I'm a bit surprised by Rent actually. The musicals they've been using have been pretty conservative so far; I thought Hairspray was a bit of a risk, frankly. While I'm not a huge fan of Rent, kudos to Fox for being a bit outside the box.

Oh ok um rent is a bit of a downer. And it would have to be a period piece because so much has changed in terms of treatment for HIV.

It's an..interesting choice.

Also, someone on twitter said they might be doing a live action little mermaid which would be awesome!

the music from Rent is fantastic, ive seen the show twice on tour

I didn't pick Wicked cuz i want that on the big screen. I picked Sister Act cuz I thought it'd be a lot of fun

Aladdin or Pippin would prob be pretty great too
