I have to agree there. Broly just isn't going to happen in a live action movie. There just isn't anything there. He's a psychotic. That's all, hard to build a story around "Hey, I'm crazy and super powerful" Not only that but he wouldn't serve a purpose to the main story. And everything that doesn't serve the story will most likely get cut. They do it in harry potter all the time and their stuff is actually CANON. Do you really think that Broly, cool though he maybe, has any room in a DBZ movie...with all the back stories and set ups they have to make already, why trouble themselves for no reason with a character that doesn't serve the story?

You may not like it, but them be the brakes. Broly will never be live action. Time to forget the past and embrace the future.

I agree, Brolly is never going to see the light of day in a DBZ Movie. Unless someone at FOX has a hard on for him. But I'd have to disagree that he wouldn't work. You say there isn't much in the original story to work with? Well, then simply create a new story. I've read several fan suggestions on how to make Brolly's story better or more plausible.

One change was not to make him fixated on Goku but Vegeta instead. After all, it was his father that ordered Brolly to be murdered and threw him and his father on the trash.

Think about it, Vegeta. The canon storylines are already going to be hard enough to adapt. They will have to change some things and take out others. Adding Broly to the mix isn't helping the cause.

Broly as well as other movie villains could easily be adapted into movies of their own, they wouldn't have to be involved in the canon movies.

For Broly if he got his own movie I'd basically scrape his origin from the animated movie. He'd have been at least eight when Planet Vegeta was destroyed & instead of just hating Goku, he hates Vegeta as well because he's a cocky little brat that gets what he wants. As for his hatred towards Goku, I'd only have him hate him because one did Broly witnesses his father challenging Bardock in which he loses & this angers Broly who goes to kill Kakarot but is called before he can commit the act or something to that extent. Basically, Paragus speaks out of term during a meeting of the Saiyans which causes King Vegeta to want him to be exterminated. The most powerful soldiers who protect the king commit the act, believing both Paragus & Broly to be dead. That same day Planet Vegeta is destroyed but Broly, still being alive, harnesses enough power to form a shield around the two. If I were in charge, as Broly grows up he'd slowly go insane as his power grows & he'd have more hate towards Vegeta than anyone else.

Yuen Wo Ping should do the Fight choreography! He did The Matrix and Jet Li's Fearless! Not to mention, Crouching tiger, hidden dragon. He rocks!

i love dbz but something in the back of my mind says this is a train wreck waiting to happen. dont get me wrong i loves me some goku but this is fox we are talking about.....................the horror. I think cgi is the way to go but then that would pretty mucth be like making the show just 3-d but w/ live action its a whole different world. but then the thought of seeing some hack play goku or vegeta is driving me insane.But then again this would be cool........ahhhhhhh i don't know all i care about is that fox doesnt screw this up or so help me god.

on a side note how does one purchase a ticket to this movie without looking like a super nerd.
