A couple of months ago my Xbox 360 broke my GOW. And I dont know what to do. I ask EB for a refund but they said no. And I dont know if I should contact Microsoft. Or is there like a cure for scratches. (The scratch is a couple of big circles)

It's not fixable. Did you move the xbox while the disc was spinning?

You have to take it to the fires of Mount Doom to be destroyed.

most game stores will resurface it for about $5-10/£3-5

If you want to **** up several of your games go right ahead

That thing doesn't fill scratches, it grinds the rest of the disk down so it's in line with the scratches. Do NOT use that thing unless you want to **** up your games/dvd's and possibly your 360

You mean that particular brand?

no, I mean those particular devices, my friend works at blockbuster and people have used them so often he can tell which ones have been "repaired" and which haven't by the thickness of the disks :o

Hm, I guess I got lucky. I’ve resurfaced two of my LotR special edition DVDs, Halo and MUA with that one, seemed to work fine for me. I haven't watched the DVDs in years, but the two games still work just like new.

Do you know how places like EB or GameStop resurface theirs?

the use some kind of gel to fill the scratches. Not sure exactly how it works since they do it in the back room :ninja:

My freind told me (He goes on these boards) that white toothpaste fills in scratches.

Try boiling the disc and then apply toothpaste (nothing special or GRAINY) in a circular motion from the center, out.

Really depends on how bad these scratches are..

If you take a lighter and hold it under the disc while rotating the disc the surface will soften and reform without scratches.

Don't do it for more than about thirty seconds though or you run the risk of damaging your discs :(

No, that's what you do to fill in the tack holes in your walls when you move from your apartment. Gota get that deposit back.:ninja:

Blockbuster it. ;)

This is probably the safest way to go.

For those who don't know, the Blockbuster method is renting the same game from them and switching your damaged disc with the rental disc. You have to remember to remove the sticker on the Blockbuster disc. However, there is a chance that the rental disc may be even more damaged than yours.
