I am getting increasingly worried.

I remember hearing the 360 air fan cooler was hurting some systems.

I don't know how true that is, I've never even seen one in person...but I had heard something of that sort about the cooler fan.
I had a cooling system on my 360 and it made the system make terrible noises. When I got the 360 Elite I tried the coolent on it an it made the system get an error message and the system was kinda loud. I decided to take it off and its never made another noise. Honestly I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and Id never use one again.

Yeah, that's about the same story I had heard on other messageboards.

Apparently, my system is being sent back to me right now.

Now I'm wondering about what I can do to renew my warranty. I'm not even sure as to what my options are. Best Buy had voided my last warranty when I exchanged the system for a working one.....why?

Well, my parents had bought the system during the holiday season. Christmas. And, as usual with all these holiday season systems...it was a bundle purchase. It had the system and a game, Need For Speed Most Wanted. When the system broke down, it was...of course...after the holiday season when the NFSMW bundle was over and done with. They only had regular Xbox deals, no bundles....so in exchanging the system, the warranty was voided and done.

And now my warranty with Microsoft had ended about a month ago. Now, I don't know what to do. I really want to keep myself protected by covering my ass on some front.

I'll have to look into maybe trying to buy a new warranty with Best Buy. And, I have no idea about the warranty with Microsoft. I don't remember seeing anything about renewing it in the manual, and the official website makes no mention of extending the warranty except if the system dies of the Red Rings of Death.

Oh, and apparently...Acts of God are NOT covered under the warranty. Seriously, it's stated on the warranty page at the Xbox website.

Red Rings of Death are covered....but Acts of God are not? Hmmmm.....

Just got my system back...and I'm happy to see it.

One problem, though. I have the regular battery pack that came with the controller...the one you need to stick AA batteries into.

But, I also have the rechargable pack that comes with the recharge cord that connects to the usb ports.

Right now, the controller will not connect wirelessly with the rechargable battery pack, unless it's with the cord. The light on the controller is green...so it's not because it has no power.

It'll only connect wirelessly if I have the AA battery pack instead. This very common to happen after a system repair?

my 360 just died. Who do i need to contact since I have RRoD?? it's been a full day and a half since it's stopped working. Does anyone know what number I need to call?? thanks!!

Waiting on the box to come here so I can finally fix my 360:]

what happens if I don't have my warrenty after all these years?? :(

How do you not have a warranty, the X-Box came out less than 3 years ago and every X-Box has a 3 year warranty. You call and give them the serial number, they send you a box to send the 360, they fix it and send it back.

oh ok. I got mine on december 20-something, 2005. They said they couldn't access my account because they were updating their information or something and I needed to call back tomorrow to get it repaired, he said there is something wrong with the console itself (no duh!!!!).

Get mine back on Tuesday..Going to buy Fallout 3 soon

Good choice fallout is great, however

*SPOILERS*

The game ends if you follow the main story mode and doesn't let you continue after you beat it, so save it and make sure you do all of the side quests first before the final mission.

It, to me, is even better than Oblivion.

I had the red rings but waiting still on getting it back.Sent it out last Thurday.
