I think instead of cigarettes killing you by giving you cancer, there should be one cigarette in about every other carton, that when you lite it, it explodes, taking your head off. Maybe that would keep people from starting.

3. I'd use an extremely long straw and the stove to light them, so if they blow up, they don't blow my head off.

Personally, I don't and never will smoke. If someone wants to I'm fine aslong as it's not around me. I say we make it private so people smoke at their home or out in the jungle or on the side of a highway. Please no public parks, not around my home, not downtown, not outside the mall. Go somewhere you don't bother anyone. I don't want to get sick. What do you think?

As a smoker I've got a MUCH different view than you on this subject.

But my view is that if cigarettes are legal, alcohol is legal, then EVERYTHING should be legal. Marijuana. Cocaine. Heroin. You name it. It's either ALL legal or NOTHING legal.

But I hope that you stick to that "I don't and never will smoke" phrase because I used to say the same thing.

Well, you have to understand that people who don't smoke don't really want to be inhaling your second hand smoke that you either purposely or accidentally blew into their face.

I see it happen all the time with people standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF DOORWAYS blowing their smoke in peoples faces. Even as a smoker I hate when people do that...it's freakin' rude.

But standing in an area where there are no people walking by, yeah, by all means smoke away.

There are certain bars here that you're not allowed to smoke in, which is freakin' ridiculous. When you're consuming alcohol it makes you want to smoke MORE.

Yeah, it's starting to get pretty crazy around here in Pennsylvania. Thankfully, I'm in Pittsburgh where it's still normal. If anymore Republicans get voted into any of the offices for the state we could be screwed down the road.

But I'm a supporter of legalizing marijuana. As long as tobacco and alcohol is legal I see no reason for weed to not be legal. It's basically what this country always has been and always will be...a gigantic double standard.

Marijuana is SOOOOOO bad. They air these DUMBASS commericials about how terrible weed is, but in reality alcohol is fifty million times worse than weed will EVER be.

I don't hear about too many teenagers smoking some weed, getting in his or her car and driving 90 MPH over the speed limit and crashing into innocent people, KILLING THEM.

But, ohh...alcohol is STILL legal.

I am curious. With everything we know about what smoking does to someone, why do people continue to start?? Do all smokers just have some sort of death wish?? Have any of you watched someone die of cancer?? Do you honestly want to dies that way?? Do you all know that the cancer rate is actually higher among non-smokers who live with smokers?? So, by choosing to smoke around your kids, you are basicly saying you want your kids to die of cancer. People stupid enough to smoke deserve their fate, but the pople they hurt don't.

Well I can answer it.
I smoke...
I am tolerant and don't smoke arround people who not like it.
But is is still my life.
Me myself grew up with smokers.
I tried one and I was hooked to it.
Yes my first cigaret was disguisting.
But now I love it.... and believe it or not but is hard to stop.
And I don't get it... smokers are bad... and what about alcoholics? ALCOHOL is much worse then smoking.
Yes smoking is bad I agree.... but they make such a big deal out of ir I knew someone who turned 100 and she was a smoker it was my great grandmother... so... I think they are making a fuss about it.

1. Alcohol, in moderation, has been proven to have health benefits, the same can NOT be said for smoking.
2. When you drink alcohol the people around you are not forced to drink it too. When you smoke the people around you are FORCED to breath in smoke. (and don't give me the "move elsewhere" nonsense, this is not always possible).
3. The damage of second hand smoke is actually worse than the damage done to the lungs of the smoker.
4. Alcoholics who hurt other people pay a penalty (jail time, fines, etc.), smokers do not pay for the damage they do to other peoples lungs, heart, etc.

But still what does Alcohol do you body?
You can get liver and kidney problems and family members of me died because of that... not because they were drunks well one was but okay... they drank something sometimes and their liver and kidneys failed on them.
A mate of mine doesn't drink anymore because he could die if he begins to drink again.
And no I won't tell you to go somewhere else that nonsense....
But drunks get annoyed and can hurt people because they can not handle a drink. So that is bull**** that Alcohol doesn't effect other people people get killed....
Well it may be me but give me a package of cigarets in stead of be beaten to death thank you
