Well, there are many possibilites. 1)He mysteriously "disappeared" and for some reason his family is now extremely rich and refuses to talk 2)He got paid off by oil companies and bought the patent to his invetions so no one can ever make it again. 3)They blocked it from being produced by paying off all possible entrepreneurs who could have financed him and all other companies were paid off so as to never do business with him.

Well the 22 gallons thing was complete B.S. That's the reason it's never gotten off the ground, it doesn't provide enough energy to power a car very far. It's more like 22 gallons for a mile. There are many people still working on this.

Well the basic concept was still successful but yeah it still needs to be worked out. It has much potential which is why it is so threatening to oil companies.
