Do any of the "Director's Cuts" for comic books (this, Supreme Power, Avengers #1, etc) actually show different material added into the book itself, or just script pages and sample art? So far the only real "Director's Cut" I've read was Phoenix: The Untold Story which actually WAS fairly different from the published version of X-men #137 (the issue where Jean commits suicide on the moon).Tropico said:CW#3 Director's cut will show that these last 2 posts were what really started the fist fight between Cap and Tony.![]()
Cable's powers were tweaked up to past omega level early on in Cable & Deadpool. This allowed him to have telekenesis that could lift islands without making Cable break a sweat. He could also use his telepathy to communicate with people across the world. He had a plan to make the world a paradise and take away the world's weapons. Every world power was going crazy about it but nobody at their disposal could do anything. HE WAS THAT POWERFUL. Anyway near the end it was revealed that SS came to stop him. The Surfer was taking him through buildings and battleships and Cable was using massive energy to reassemble the molecules after crashing through it. Cable was all burned out before his plan could come to an end. However, it turned out that he just wanted to unite the world powers against a common threat in the first place. Him. The important part is that Cable was once at a power level where he could take on any heavy hitter he wanted.owenstar said:I read in one of the many civil war threads about Cable and Silver Surfer...can someone clarify that? What happened and why?
I hope they don't go that route. Oh sure, I hope Spider-Man will regret his decision and give Tony a stern talkin' to, but I don't want him to all of a sudden blame all his troubles on Tony as if he were forced at unibeam-point to comply or something. Peter Parker is an adult. He knew what he was doing, he knew the consequences of his actions inside and out, he knew what he was giving up, he had a choice that no one forced him to make, and he made an informed decision based on the facts. If he thinks he's made a mistake now, well, damn, maybe he should have thought of that beforehand. For him to suddenly go "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!" on Tony feels incredibly childish, like a guy refusing to take responsibility for his own mistakes.Docker said:I think its to late for Spidey. His enemies know his identity, JJJ is suing him, the walls are closing in on him. But I still think he will go toe to toe with Tony. I think he will regret his decision and blame Tony(hence the threat in ASM).

That page is chalk full of awesome Doctor Strange pwnages, including going toe-to-toe with the Living f'ing Tribunal; simply put, the Doc makes Pre-Crisis Superman look like a pansy, there's no way Sentry should be able to beat him at his full power.
Strange isn't going into seclusion because he doesn't favor one side over another; the Illuminati special showed that he clearly favored the anti-registration side. Yeah, he could probably stop all of this infighting with a single magical word, but he's not going to. He's not a superhero, really, and he doesn't think that it's his right. Simply put, he's the Sorcerer Supreme; he's got his duties and they don't include butting in on something like this. And going by the comments from Wong in this issue, it seems that he's a bit disappointed in both sides that it all had to degenerate into hostilities so quickly.
hippy fascist said:he had no choice on the reveal. Tony put it to him in a very all or nothing kind of way. It was I can't have my employee not unmask. therefore unmask or get out of stark tower. The accomodation was conditional on being an avenger.
Also tony has extensively used that accomodation to guilt pete into doing what he wants. He was there when pete needed him but giving someone your spare room is not the same as asking someone to put their family in danger just to support your soapboxing
