What we know of the plot!!

yes only another 18 months. Does anyone have a time machine i can used to transport 18 months into the future and than i will come back and tell every about it.

 

Doom has been confirmed i don't know that any other villians have actually been confirmed, but the 2 you mentioned are certainly possibilities.......i think what we have is one confirmed, and alot of possibilities....LOL

 

I think Jessica Alba said the Fantastic Car will be in it.

 

Wait.. the Puppet Master doesn't make clay counter parts, does he? I thought he controlled actual people. They aren't going to fight the little clay models that he makes.

 

The Puppet master makes clay models of others, and controls their mind and body with them. Like a Vodoo doll.

 

There still seems to be confusion about what the Puppet Master's power is. As I understand it, and as Thing 2005 seems to comfirm, he doesn't make any clones. He just controlls people.

 

Yes. He uses clay to make dolls of the charactors, and controls their minds, just like a voodoo doll. There is no dolls or anything to fight. He uses the puppets for mind control only. Not to fight against the FF. Hope that clears it up. This is what we know deffently:

1. Sue and Reed get married ( Jessica Alba )
2. Full Doom will return ( Tim Story )
3. The fantasticar will be in the sequel ( Cast Commentary )
4. They start filming August the 1 st ( Tim Story )
5. They are scouting locations in Vancover
6. They are still working on the story
7. Frost and Story are working on the story.

Not this time. Remember this time the'll have the spx software developed. They won't have to spend time developing the software, and making adjustments. It's there, they know what there doing this time, so that will cut the post production time down a lot. Plus they can't run into production issues, like they did last time. They have to get it done 3, 4 months tops. If they can have it done by Dec. 1st, that would give them 7 months post production time. Last time they had about 4 months post production time. The original starting time was June the 1st, which would have been perfect. Don't know why they changed it. They had a lot of issues last time in Vancover. Weather was 1. The legenth of time filming was another. The business owners where loosing too much business.

Well if you listen to the commentary again she says something along the lines of, oh the next one will be fun because we get the Fantasticar. Someone one must of told her they were getting it in the film and she's heavly involved in the film she is one of the main characters.

 

Yea,I would say the FC will be in.

 

Maybe so....i'll take your word for it.....but man, its really, really, really early to be saying anything is for sure.....unless i hear it from Story, i won't put $$$ on it....

Things said in the commentary and interviews with the cast aren't really the final word. There are/were a lot of possible things that could be included in the sequel - Puppetmaster, Fantasticar, wedding etc. , but things could change as the script develops.

In some cases, the actors may just be throwing out things they want/hope to see for their characters.

Based on Tim Story's recent comments, I'd say the only thing that is definite is that Doom will be back. The other points all seem likely, but I think we have to wait until we have some more definite confirmation before we say for sure.

Great thread idea! In the coming weeks/months we should be getting some more specific statements to help us add/delete items from the list.

 

Sounds cool, but I don't think Puppet Master or Mole Man would work unless they are done EXACTLY right. I'd like Doom to return and revolt against the ruler of Latveria, causing a civil war that splinters the FF. As Reed and Ben try to stop Doom in Latveria, Johnny and Sue try to find other metahumans that have the power to help stop Doom. Little do they know that the power needed lies in Johnny's new girlfriend Crystal, and her mysterious group of friends...

I think the Inhumans would be perfect for the FF films...I'd really enjoy seeing them.

 

Two main things need to happen in FF2:

1) Doom's rise to power in Latveria, in Hitler-style fashion...
2) Sue and Reed get married

Doom needs to lose the electrical powers... he could have lost them in the battle with the FF at the end of X1 when badly injured... so he turns to Latverian natural medicines and herblore and eventually magic and mysticism to help ease his physical/mental pain...and he creates an armour with built in weaponry and defensive capabilities.

Perhaps he experiments further with the composition of the cosmic storm and sees how its energy and elements, along with magic and mysticism, can alter the properties of natural clay used by the more primitive Latverian folk to form 'voodoo dolls.'

So he enlists Alicia's father to make dolls using the altered Latverian clay...with the aim of destroying the F4.

Well PM would certainly be a cost effective villian. Which is why he's most likly to show up.

 

And they finish the movie by throwing a defeated human Doom with no armor and no powers into another dimension, him cursing RiiiiIIIichard.

Only to lead to a DOOM spin off movie, him alone in another dimension. Me wants that. So that when he comes back for the third movie (or fourth), he's got an empire (a whole new world, with space ships, army of super powered baddies, etc) at his power to help the FF fight Galactus. And then Steal Galactus' power, of course (or the surfer).
