The Avengers What were your favorite scenes/moments? Obviously spoiler galore.

People seem to have forgotten that not all CBM's have to be gritty and completely serious.

speaking of which it shocked me how badass Hawkeye actually was, i think there was a moment where he shot behind him, and you see a bunch of badguys explode passing by behind him all in one shot, it was pretty cheesy in a really cool way.

The Avengers reminded me of what didn't work with the Transformers sequels, which just bombarded you with obnoxious humor. Whedon got it right on the money how to co-mingle comedy and action.

Thing is about the Hulk scream, i kinda knew he would do something because, Hulk at iron mans side looking worried next to everyone felt so out of place, i was waiting for him to shake him awake or something, the scream definitely worked

One of the best parts of the final battle, reminded me of playing the ultimate games.

For me, best parts were:

• Loki's disturbing rant at Black Widow.
• Thor pleading with his brother to come home.
• Banner and Stark interactions.
• Everything Hulk, including the hilarious sucker punch on Thor and the beat down on Loki.
• 2nd half of the final battle.
• Iron Man intro to Cap, ****ing awesome introduction accompanied by Shoot to Thrill.

Avengers is the quintessential fun summer movie. All these other comic/cartoon properties need to study it.

Lol..reading this thread made me realize how many little quips i missed because the audience was pretty boisterous and was laughing so loud. i have no recollection of Galaga or Stark calling hawkeye Legolas. I can't wait to see this again in a quieter less filled theatre so i can take all of it in

When Banner's shown lying in the rubble of the building he'd smashed through after leaving the helicarrier and the guy who's talking to him.
When the guy who saw him change from Hulk back to Banner asks Banner if he's an alien, Banner says "no"....the guy says something like "I think you have a condition"

Very funny.

The way everyone reacted to Banner was very well done, because it built up to what hulk was, it doesn't assume you've seen anything about the Hulk, it rebuilds him and shows the audience that even earth's mightiest heroes consider him a very real threat if unchecked.

From starks reckless enabler to black widow just aiming the gun at him and looking very fearful of her life when Banner just races his voice in that shack, great great stuff.

Especially later on when Banner gets a little hot under the collar and it's revealed he's holding the staff.

Cap giving orders gave me chills. I like that Iron Man went : "Ok Cap, what do we do?" So much win!

But my favorite scene if I have to pick one, would be the Loki/Hulk confrontation, and especially the look on Loki's face after it. Priceless t:

I loved the bit on the helicarrier, just after Stark and Banner are introduced, in the small lab, and Stark walks behind Banner and pokes him or zaps him with something small to try and make him change to Hulk, with the look he gives as well. Amazing.
Also, obviously Hulk sucker punching Thor and slamming Loki
