What were your worst fears as a kid?

Chucky - I pretty much had an irrational fear of the damn doll. I found him to be so damn ugly and disgusting. Considering my sister had dozens of dolls in the house, I just couldn't stand the sight of him.

Yep, Chucky movies did a number on me as a child. As did the other slasher movie characters. American Werewolf in London also froze me with fear, considering my room had a big window next to my bed.

Plenty of stuff freaked me out, horror movies, etc.

We grew up in a military town and there was always planes flying over head from the air base.

The sound of jets flying over started to freak me out after a while. If one would crash, but also the highly irrational fear that it could be an enemy plane dropping a bomb, or they could be flying off to a dogfight that would happen right over my house.

I probably wouldn't have thought of this yesterday...except I heard a jet yesterday that sounded weird and was like "Oh **** what if it's in a nosedive" and it all came back, ha.

I'm afraid of heights. Still am.

It's so bad, I was hyperventilating just watching footage of somebody pointing their camera to look down when they were at the top of the Burj Khalifa!

Clowns....I don't want to talk about it. :/

Forget being a kid, I'm still scared to death of wasps/hornets/bees. Except bumble bees. I'm fine with them because they just fly around and leave you alone.

I'm also no fan of lightning, but that's only if I'm outside in it. Bees I can't even watch on tv.

Fear of Bullies at school - sunday night syndrome of the 'safety' being over for another week.

Clowns - to this day.

I am claustrophopbic and sacred of heights - great combo

I was also scared of a toilet overflowing. Still am, I really start to panic when that happens.

The one time I've been stung by a bee was a Bumble Bee.... :csad: My arm swelled up the size of a football, so yeah...add them to my list of adult fears now.

Wasps, dentists, and those Siamese cats from Lady and the Tramp.

Still are my main fears.

The Boogeyman from the Real Ghostbusters cartoon. I remember having nightmares about him.

I still get freaked out when I watch the episodes with him in them. The ****er was only in two episodes and for some reason they were among the only ones my parents taped. :argh:

Robocain from Robocop 2. And Tremors. And that thing in Kevin's basement from Home Alone.

Heights, and I use to freak out about bees when I was really little and clueless. Now I'm totally chill about bees, I give them their space and expect them to do the same.

that someone would break into my house and kill me...

I'm still scared of bees. Damn ****ers be popping up. Or rather, "bee" popping up.

I used to be scared of the Sugar Puff Monster and The Elephant Man.

Becoming the person I am today

Needles. I was the WORST patient whenever I had to get a shot, lol.

I used to have no problems with spiders as a kid until I saw Arachnophobia. I was about 7 or 8 when I saw it and the movie itself didn't necessarily traumatize me, but very soon after I saw it I had this incident in which a spider much like the ones in the movie came out of the sink while I was brushing my teeth, and yeah, that did it. I refused to use that sink/bathroom again for days, lol. I still just totally freeze up when I encounter spiders.

Spiders, Insects, Clowns, the Dark, Jellyfish (got strung by one when i was a kid), Alien Abductions, heart removal scene from Indiana Jones lol, Freddy Krueger, death, and poison ivy.

Most of these I am not scared of now except for death, spiders, insects, and jellyfish
