I know it seems impossible and nor do I ever want it to happen but it would be just fun to speculate the crazy wacky scenarios.

If there's already another thread on this please link it.

I'll start:

  1. Avi Arad getting insanely rich and buying Marvel Studios from Disney.
  2. A female Thor movie is green-lit and Paul Feig is tapped to direct.

Batman v. Superman released in theatres.

I keed, I keed. :funny:

I don't think it'll be one thing.

It would have to be a series of bad movies.

A string of bad movies is about all I could think of. Maybe some behind the scenes stuff coming to light that would paint the studio in an overtly unfavorable manner.

Disney taking full control over any future Marvel movies & limiting the budgets on each movie.

Recasting Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark with a thirty-something version of the same character without rebooting the entire universe.

Josh Trank and Paul Feig replacing the Russo Bros for Avengers: Infinity War parts I & II

Michael B Jordan - Captain America (Steve Rogers)
Kristen Wiig - Iron Woman
Leslie Jones - Thor
Melissa McCarthy - Black Widow
Jaime Bell - Bruce Banner/Hulk
Miles Tellar - Hawkeye

Maya Rudolph - as Theresa Noss, an angry internet blogger with the handle Thanos.

I don't even want to process how bad that could leave anyone.

rebooting because some fanboys can't handle recasts

Fanboys aren't the problem. We've sat through Supermen, Batmen, and Spider-Men, we'll see through Iron Men, Captain Americas, and Thors. The GA didn't know these characters before the MCU. RDJ, Evans, and Hemsworth are the faces of the characters for the GA. The GA didn't like TASM series because they felt it was too soon. The only reason Superman and Batman got away with it were a decade(s) gap between reboots, horrible movies, and to an extent that they finally meet. Recasting isn't going to work for the MCU.

Marvel gets in over their head that they decide to make a live action movie of even the lesser characters.

A general decline of interest in the genre due to 4 movie studios each doing an average of two hero films a year is Marvel Studios biggest enemy.

Fair point but the GA didn't like the fact that he was being recast from the start.
in a reboot that told the same story the first movie told only a couple of years ago. really it was more the reboot thing than the recast

It already started with Age of Ultron -- I was seriously disappointed with that, and I'm more wary about CA:CW considering the amount of cast members already in it. Marvel Studios needs to cut back on making everything interconnected and hold off on leaving unresolved plot threads dangling for the next film(s) to wrap up.

More self-contained stories should be emphasized on.

I think Marvel Studios will generally be ok with the next few years. AntMan, CivilWar, Strange, GOTG2, Thor3 will all be fine and make some bank. What worries me is when we finally get Thanos in all his full glory on screen and hear all the screams of disappointment and criticisms. I can hear people saying we waited all these years for this. People are propping themselves for something so spectacular that it often becomes underwhelming.

Anyways, I think once that happens, that will be where people lose interests and it will start the downfall. Let's not forget all the epic event films FOX and WB will put on the screen first. JL comes out first and they may decide to give us Darkseid. All similar types of films.

after grand plan phase 3 end people will get less interesting heroes flim like me

Only 3 now. Marvel effectively cut off competition from Sony. If Warner's films contribute to fatigue, then a similar deal can be worked out with Fox. We're only looking at 3 now, possibly 2 if Fox begins playing ball.

That will never happen Disney/Fox ending there feud? let them fight, :cwink: Disney/WB has been fighting ever since the beginning it all started with Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny, there just to old to fight so they got Marvel/DC doing it for them. :woot:
