What would you do in case of a zombie invasion?

Well, I live in America, where guns are legal. Therefore, I'd already have an upper hand.

Also, I live in the south, where guns aren't so taboo. I know people who have walk in closets just for ammo. So I'd probably go to one of those places, load up on guns and ammo, and bunker down.

I'd probably have to end up killing a lot of Canadians, since they don't allow guns up there, they'd have no defense, and all get turned into zombies.

So one of these...

Find a mall with a gun shop.

Isn't so far fetched for where you live?

The Mall/Wal-Mart is actually a horrible place to go. These are densely populated places with many many exits and entrances and hidey-holes for Zombies to lurk in. The best course of action is to visit a mall or Wal-Mart stock up on supplies. Probably need to hit a few arms supply stores and then head for the hills. Take up refuge in the woods far far away from all other people wait until you've gained control over the remaining survivors and then start your own colony of Zombie survivalists OR wait until the Army comes and trust them.

I'd head for the mall. I'm guessing the Zombies have taken over pretty much, so it's either die somewhere where I can have some fun before running out of food, or die somewhere boring before running out of food. Killing as many as possible does me no good. They'll just keep coming. Getting on a boat would also be boring to me, though you'd probably last longest there due to fish and isolation.

Head to the cemetary, why not just get it over with?

Assuming that we're talking about "scientific" zombies and not supernatural zombies, the graveyard wouldn't be a bad place to hang out.

After all, the bodies that are embalmed and buried aren't going to rise from the grave, because their brains are already rotted and gone. Plus, a big graveyard is usually a wide flat area where you can see a long distance, so the zombies couldn't sneak up on you.

But ultimately, I'd try to gather firearms and food and look for a secure shelter. Jumping on a boat and heading off to the nearest island sounds like a good idea, but everyone else would have that idea too, and soon the islands would become crowded and possibly turn violent or get infected.

Yes, but think of all the weapons you could wield if you were to hide out in a mall. There are alot of shops in there you know.

Which would be really really awesome for about an hour. After that you'd be tired and hungry and terrified. You wouldn't be able to move or think without some Zombies coming up at you. You could never get safe. Eventually the Zombies would horde together and all end up at the mall. Then you're screwed. Royaly.

It would be a fun why to die though.

get somewhere where there aren't a lot of people and find somewhere to hole up....move north...winter will come and they will freeze up....travel light....one bag, 2 maybe 2 weapons and all the water, granola bars I could carry

I would go to a max security prison. Best defenses, a supply of ammo and guns, transport vehicles, fuel, a lot of non perishable foods, etc...

The only problem are the people in the prison but they are in cells so they aren't getting out

Actually it's very possible that all the prisoners would be outside of their cells. During an emergency the cell doors are open and prisoners are walked and guided through to emergency exits outside of the building (still fenced in) to await transport. So it's likely that all of the doors would be unlocked and that the prison would attempt an evacuation. Of course that wouldn't be possible so some of the prisoners would probably just kill the guards raid the palce and head out.

Also, even if the prisoners were still in lockdown would you continue to provide for them? I mean can you run a max security prison by yourself? Are you just going to let them starve to death in their cells?

The whole prison thing didnt work out to well for the people in The Walking Dead. Now you have two things to worry about.....Zombies and prisoners that may try to kill you.

No I wouldn't provide for them Go into the place armed, make all of them leave with your guns, and then take over the place. In a zombie apocalypse...I am only going to look out for my friends and family. Inmates are way down that list. Then, you could possibly set it up one day to be an outpost. Equally good. I would honestly take it on a case by case basis. Seeing what is available at each place as I go along. Staying in one place can be both good and bad. Especially if they wanna pull a Resident Evil or CLoverfield and blow up the whole area

If I lived in Europe, I would most definitely make camp in a castle or other stoned fort structure. Some of those are huge and you can live and farm within the walls.

Any enclosed environment needs to take into account sanitation and health concerns....someone gets sick and you can't just pop out to the store to grab some Ny Quil

Depending on the number of people you have with you...you can set up teams that can scour for these things. By all means pack what you can but trips will eventually have to be taken
