Sequels What would you rather see?

X-Men First Class (which there supposedly going to move forward with)
Another Prequel to the X-Men franchise

or

X-Men 4
Using the young cast that was underdeveloped in X3
Angel, Shadowcat, Collosus, Iceman, and Rogue

Im personally growing tired of this prequel idea and I always thought that moving forward with X-Men 4 was a better Idea then doing a Wolverine Spinoff. Besides Wolverine was just another excuse to introduce other mutants as well (Deadpool, Gambit, Blob). These characters could of easily been introduced in X-Men 4.


With Singer intrested in coming back why not give him a chance to redeem the X-Men series with X4 kind of like the situation with Raimi getting another chance to redeem the Spider-man Series.

Had to go with X4...I've always stated that if X4 could help improve upon the themes presented in X-3...then X-3 might actually end up with a better taste in people's mouths.

I'd love to see an X-4 where it was revealed Nathaniel Essex had a hand in developing the cure...and not for reasons of eliminating the mutant gene.

Such wasted potential at Fox.

agreed, i always did want to see apocolypse brought to the bigscreen too or Omega Red, there are so many characters and themes that could be explored.

If the script for X-4 is decent you don't have to shift focus per say, but you develop the younger cast more with a defined view of the older cast as their teachers, which I don't think hurts anything. You can also introduce a new recruit or 2. This also allows for more sequels if done correctly. And by more I mean possible branching sequels with different X-men "teams". I just see a lot of potential with expanding the main story instead of a lot of unnecessary prequels.

isnt cyclops dead though? but yeah i get the point. The new members from X3 were all great actors. Ben Foster, Ellen Page, and Kelsey Grammar. Heres the lineup I see.

Angel
Collosus
NightCrawler
Rogue
Shadowcat
Iceman
and maybe Gambit.

Thats more then enough interesting characters to carry a film.

I don't think Gambit or Emma would be in a sequel, if they were they probably wouldn't be played by same people, since they were suppose to be the younger version of the characters

I understand, but at the same time, Hugh Jackman has played Logan in XO Wolverine, looking older than in X1, so....

Fox will use the same actors, it's cinema world, many actors play the same character in different periods of their lifes.

Those people wanting X-Men 4 will only end up disappointed.

I'd rather see X-Men: First Class. The origins of Storm, Beast, Jean, Cyclops, Xavier + more will be interesting to see. I'm actually looking forward to an X-Men film without Wolverine.

as for the topic at hand

(though they well still be semi restricted to follow certain aspects of the originals to keep in continues)

unless they can make Taylor and Tahyna look 15+ (more likely to be recast, if characters are used) older then it'd be accepted, you do know that Jackman can play Logan at various time periods because his healing powers grant him slowed ageing?-- and that Wolverine is even older than the Professor but will look like he's in his 30's for years to come

i prefer x-men 4, just because they're dragging out the series with prequels that are completely unneeded. idk, i would like to see more of the younger, new mutants (iceman, kitty, rogue, etc.) i feel like they just started coming into the series in X3. i don't know about any of you, but i'm sick of wolverine and storm, i want something new. i thought i voted for x-4 but apparently i clicked the wrong circle. i would love x-men first class if it became a total reboot of the series, and no other prequels would be made after that. idc what happens with the series, i just want the x-men films to move on, not drag out!
