Whatever happened to Leelee Sobieski?

9-11 and this airheaded hilarity happened:

One day.
One.
More than another.
The other,
that day,
those people,
too many,
too personal,
but not.
People you know,
but you yourself know not.
Crashing down,
all frown,
hurting,
walking,
silently screaming,
slowly running,
often feeling nothing.
Seeing the lucky ones fleeing,
seeing those trapped inside.
Cry.
Cry.
It's OK.
It's not OK.
Smile if it's natural
Feel alive.
The president speaks,
The situation reeks an act of war.
I enter my room, close the door
Sit here.
Here where buildings do not fall to the floor.
we young will experience much more
future, liberty, the freedom to mope about in poetry.
My brother, I love you.
Old friends and family too.
Safe for now, glad to know I'm alive with all of you.
Feel what is real
Feel later heal.
One.
One person feeling the same as all the rest.
Please let us act and do what is best.

Never give an idiot a pen and a piece of paper and tell them to write a poem

I have to say an actor's career will depend on their: Agents, publicity, and taste in movies in general. And sometimes, luck.

For example, Kieffer Sutherland dissapeared for a while and made it big again with 24. He got lucky. Alec Baldwin kinda dissapeared, and he's been back. John Travolta...I just don't know what's going on with him..

As an actor, in someways, you have to be a movie buff. You have to keep up with the news or who's hot or not. I felt like some actors didn't do their research with Uwe Boll (Christen Slater, Jason Stratham) and thus, made mistakes in their choices.

Also, they have to get good agents. Agents who are in the know.

So I think there's alot of factors on why certain people just dissapear. Shannyn Sossamon dissapeared (and I love her). I just hope that 'Wristcutters' will put her back.

Leelee Sobieski was in a movie with Paul Walker. She had Hollywood's respect until she did that.

Just kidding. I don't know what she's been up to lately, but I've always been impressed with her work. I think her agent just needs to find her better roles with more talented people. I mean hell... she's worked with some BAD people... Walker, Chris Klein, Drew Barrymore... well, okay, Drew is decent at times, but the movie was awful.

This thread needs more Leelee pictures. Since... you know, it...doesn't have ANY.

Has anyone else seen "My First Mister"? I realy enjoyed this Leelee movie with Albert Brooks.

yeah, not many people have seen that movie. I liked it as well. I generally like albert brooks movies anyway.

All I recall her from is that opening shot of her ass in some panties in Joyride, a very underrated comedy/horror.

I feel the same way about Albert Brooks films. Leelee was really good though.

^Me and my sister play out that one scene all the time whenever we get together.

"Ah need...to find...Candy..Cane."
"You need...to find...a highly trained psychiatrist, not a psychologist, you're gonna need drugs." :D

I hated Joyride.

Ruined Leelee's and Steve Zaun's careers, and proved that Paul Walker as a teflon entity than can survive anything. (Though 2 Fast and 2 Furious may prove me wrong).

Too many competition in Hollywood right now, so it's not a surprise to see an actress like her to be out of work.

Do you think - since she's fallen so hard out of the public's consciousness that sit might be to her advantage if she wants a revival?

Look at the dude who played David in Rosanne. He came back with 'Big Bang Theory'.

And Leelee isn't not old either. She's 31; Jessica Chastain made it big when she was like 32-33.

The only issue is that Jessica doesn't have a stigma; she's a clean slate and a new talent.
