So Lent begins today. I know, I know, religion... blah blah blah... I was raised Catholic, so this thing has been engrained in my head for the past 23 years. Just wondering what everyone else is doing, and this thread could also serve as some moral support. HAHA!

Now... you don't really need to give something up for the next 40 days, you can instead decide to do something (to your benefit or the benefit of others).

I've decided to give up my two favorite foods: Pasta and Cheese. I eat WAYYYYY too much of both, and I really need to limit my intake of both. Lent could serve as a catalyst for it.

The last time I took Lent seriously was in high school when I gave up *********ing. I would never recommend this to anyone else. I nearly died.

40 days of not doing that would make me explode down there...:o

I'm giving up watching The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. Apparently it's bad for me. Otherwise, why would NBC pull it?

I am giving up on TEDDY for 40 days. Sorry bro. :csad:.

Seriously, I don't believe in such a silly thing. But if I had to pick one...it be what Wolfwood did, but whoops, too late. So, um, nothing. Maybe Pizza if I had to pick one. Or Taco Bell.

I'm not Catholic, But I popped in too warn you that the Anti-religion Brigade is likely too form a coordinated attack on this thread.

For Lent Im giving up caring about what anti-religious people have to say....which in turn I will be extending my lent to 365/year :awesome:

I have a slight issue.....Im a person who never gives up but im catholic and I'm suppose to give up something! Damn!!!

" air " for some reason it never really lasts long.......

Despite being a heathen myself, I have a bunch of friends who are Catholic. Whenever Lent comes around, I can't help but wonder... isn't it enough that you're giving up meat every Friday?

Sex. Not voluntarily. :csad:

Well, the family IS Catholic but we don't really give a flying **** about it.

Well, I give up trying to reason with Excel :awesome:

Give up saying "bro" - I'm sure it would be pretty challenging.

Awww...are you jealous? I'm sorry. :csad: I'll only call YOU bro. Better?

Now if only you could give up being lazy, you be less miserable and stop judging everyone else BRO! :o:woot:

Actually, if you could just stop calling me "bro", that would probably do.

Well, its better than calling you by your real name which would get me banned for inapproriate language.
