The thing is I don't have a local Comic book store around my area anymore. Walgreens used to carry Comics but stopped after a few months. I use to have to drive about 20-30 minutes out of my way to pick up a few issues. And between high gas prices, work, and school, I just don't have the time...so i figured I'd subscribe to a series. Since I stopped reading spidey book back in '02 or so, I thought I'd revsist my roots and suscribe to a spidey title. But which one?

-Ultimate?
-Sensational?
-Amazing?
-Marvel Adventures?
-Friendly Neighborhood?

I can't choose cause I have no idea what's good or not. So please, help me out and just give me your opinions. Hell, tell me a good series besides Spidey, just give me opinions. Thank you. It's greatly appreciated.

I'd go with Sensational, myself. It's been really great.

Listen to Ock....Sensational is great. By far, the mot consistently great title Spidey book out there right now.

Amazing.

The only Spider-Man title that really matters, in my opinion.

Ultimate, best title around and also have the most constant creative team. You can also pick up all the TPBs on amazon.

I've taken to Friendly Neighborhood most recently. It's light, it's fun, it's really what I want out of a Spider-Man book.

That said, I have been enjoying the current arc of ASM. Granted, Spider-Man acts more like Batman in it.

Sensational's always solid as well. Although the art is pretty horrible.

I'd have to agree with CCONN...FNSM has been firing on all cylinders lately.....a good Mysterio arc followed by a great Vulture arc.....some decent humour, supporting cast...and Peter David's currently doing something I would have thought impossible.....using an element of the accursed "Other" disaster and making it interesting.....FNSM has come a long way ...in my opinion

That said, FNSM's current writer, Peter David, is leaving the title in just a few months, so it's probably not a good idea to jump on right now...who knows who'll be taking over the book. ASM is probably the safest bet.

I had no idea :(...PAD finally gets things rolling and he's gone...:(....Slott better be writing one of these damn titles or I'll be severely pissed :(

FNSM can be good, but PAD can write some really odd stories: Hobgoblin 2211 and Sandblasted for example.

I dont mind ASM but I know many people cant stand JMS. Whatever, thats their opinion.

USM has been good lately, but I dont consider it a real Spider-Man book. 616 Spidey will always be the real thing to me.

Sensational is the best Spider-Book around. I usually like the stories and the art by Crain and the fact that the writer pays attention to continuity is a huge  for me.

I'd wait to find out who will be taking over each title, because I think all the writers on ASM, FNSM, and SSM are gone after One More Day.
