Am I the only one annoyed with the sudden appearance of all these new Titans members? I mean 1, there's just too many popping out the ass and 2, they're just too unoriginal IMO. Miss Martian? Power Boy? TALON!? What the ****!? I mean come on! All these sidekicks teaming up together just seems more like YJ's shtick, not Teen Titans. Sure they started with Robin, Wonder Girl and the crew, but after that it's been mainly original teen heroes with no ties to other adult heroes. But then again, YJ had a few originals in there as well.

But what I'm saying is: why waste all this time on creating these new heroes who probably aren't going far when we got the entire YJ reserves still around? What do you all think?

It is a bit strange. I'd like to see where they're going with it, though. And a lot of these kids were characters that had already existed.

I don't think they're sidekicks, more like kids that had similar powers to already existing heroes/heroines and they modeled themselves after that hero/heroine. Some of them are actually updated obscure heroes (I know Power Boy is, at least) so it's not stuff that's popping out of anyone's ass. It's kinda like the Young Avengers or is it NOT ok for DC to have hero worshipping meta-kids?

I was never a YJ fan and that's probably why I don't have issues with the "revolving door" Titans from the "missing" year. I'm actually looking forward to seeing who they were and why they couldn't make the group work.

I prefer Teen Titans to be a book of sidekicks teaming up (Robin, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, Superboy, Aquagirl, Captain Marvel Jr., Ravenger, Kid Devil, Misty Killgore, etc.) than a book of teenaged superheroes that have little or no connection with a mentor hero. That is the point of Young Justice and Young Avengers.

The more the merrier I say. Hell, there was already a s**t load of Titans before the OYL jump. Does anybody recall that huge freakin battle with Dr. Light? Well, this next generation is simply adding to the pool. Plus, a lot of em have already been around and most of the others probably have a good explanation as to why they're around. Like That Black Adam side kick. Bet you it's Isis's Brother.

Thats what I hate about dc, theres always some kid ready just in case they kill a hero.

I think its more realistic for heroes to have successors, so the whole sidekick version of a hero is ok with me, but DC took some wierd strides with it. First of all, most of them seem to young. 16-17 is a good starting age I guess, but Robins are usually 13 or something when they start out. Plus some sidekicks took on lives of their own becoming more than anyone expected, for instance Nightwing is too well respected in the superhero community and written as his own hero rather than a successor. He'll never drop the moniker to be Batman especially with Tim to take the mantle.

Nah,... if Bruce asked him,... Richard would go.

i agree... though he may say batman is not what he wants to be, if bruce was ready to retire, dick would definately take up the mantle

as i recall the only sidekick teen titans couldn't use was ACTION BOY from dc's CAPTAIN ACTION series and that was because a.b. was a licensed character
