So I do a LOT of running, and as a result, I tend to kill playlists fairly quickly.

I love to workout and run to anything high-energy, from the cheesiest pop to the most ridiculous of metal...

From time to time, I even throw in a little techno.

Case in point, my current playlist has both Fergie and Rammstein on it. I wouldn't particularly listen to either when I'm hanging out or in the car, but while running it pumps me up.

Since songs wear out fast when you hear them so ofter, I'm just soliciting for everyone's very favorite song to workout to...

Be honest, and be nice... We're talking about workout music, not the best songs ever... I love Ben Folds for instance, but I can't work out to 'Best Imitation of Myself'. My point... save the judgment for another thread... A person saying they like to run to a specific song, isn't the same things as saying it's good.

Let's Get is Started - Black Eyed Peas

I actually make mixtapes for my jogging. Increasing and decreasing the BPM and everything...that way I'm not running at the same pace the whole time. Its not that hard, you just need to find the software that works for you (I use acid pro)...and its made my running tolerable (I hate running).

do the same thing with adobe audition.

Running - 311 (although its ridiculously relaxing too)
and
Iron,Lion,Zion - Bob Marley

I listen to a lot of old school bass music. Especially DJ Magic Mike

"Roll Over DJ" by Jet. And for obvious reasons (if you've seen the video), "Here It Goes Again" by OkGo is my treadmill anthem.

hahah i have so much ACDC mixed in its not worth mentioning specifics.

in the most serious way

JUNO REACTOR , for adrenaline music, getthe songs: conga fury, masters of the universe and giant
also, try movie soundtracks :)

on one of mine i had jet's song 'last chance', which kicks f-ing a, and really reminds me of AC/DC actually.

im a skinny jerk who listens to rammstein while running. seems to keep me going.

Soundtracks or scores? This sounds so crazy that it just might work...I'll give it a go next time. I've always wanted to try running to a Rocky soundtrack. :woot:
it's great to run lissening to eye of the tiger! :D
it really gets you going :D

eye of the tiger was on one for he first running mixes i put together years ago when I made mixed tapes rather than playlists...

i think i've killed that song by listening to is so much.

i used to puts some orchestral pieces on my mixes every now and then... if you pic the right ones they can really get to the point of mixing up fast and slow placing some guy made above...

case in point, 'Rhapsody in Blue' by Gershwin

News songs I added recently to my current playlist....

'Drug Against War' ~ KMFDM
'Whole Lotta Rosie' ~ ACDC
'Wind It Up' ~ Gwen Stefani
'Lollipop' ~ Mika
'Umbrella' ~ Rihanna

Hmmm...I wonder if Reqiuem for a Tower has good pacing for a jog. I think I'll try it this afternoon.

When do you guys run? Morning, afternoon or night?

most stuff by avenged sevenfold, atreyu, or sum lamb of god
