What's your longest telephone call and why was it so long?

0 hous and 0 minutes :D

now if you ask me how long I chatted online now that would be 10+ hours with a girl :D

you've never used a phone?

how do people get in contact with you, i thought there were specialised phones deaf people could use

Locally, probably 5 minutes. I do have a good friend who is in the DC area (I'm in MI), and I've talked to him for about 20 minutes at a time. Just to keep up on things, but I don't talk to him often, maybe once every couple of months.

With the advent of email, many of the phone calls I would previously perform are now not as many.

I have a pager so I can text messages to people, not really 'talking' but more like
I'm chatting to someone online

well about 20 seconds of coherent thought talk, then i would switch into automatic

how are you?
where do you live
how's the weather
will you marry me

ya know, the typical stuff you say to people when you first meet them.

I could cook a full course meal, exercise and sleep for 6 minutes all fine while keeping that kinda discussion going.

are the regular ones relationship talks?

I used to live about 5 mins from my girlfriend at school so i would just walk over to her boarding house if i ever wanted to chat.

and we didn't communicate in the holidays so it wasn't a big deal then.

as for the ones in uni, the calls have really been no longer than 20 mins. Maybe i'm just not a phone person.

:(

You mean we wouldn't have the insightful discussions we have on IM over the phone? :(

I wouldn't quite describe them as 'relationship talks', because to me that implies talking about 'the relationship', which I never really like to talk about. :o They were, however, with people I was becoming involved with or involved with - yes. They didn't, however, live 5 mintues away - more like 5 hours or more.

i see morg, i just though you might have gotten one of them new fancy phones. i personally don't know how they work but they are apparently able to communicate with deaf if both parties have one (or maybe just the deaf party)

You mean a TTY it's a machine you can hook up to a phone and type the messages to each other, yeah I had one once but I get by with my text messages and IM's and when I really need to use a phone I can text my sister or another friend and ask them

nah, i'm a different kettle of fish over the phone, i see it as a means to an ends more.

For some reaon, i feel more expressive typing than i do talking over the phone. If the hype was based on talking to people over the phone, i wouldn't ever be around :o

talking without eye contact i feel is wrong :(:(

long distance 'couple talk' or verging on 'couple' talk. fair enough.

danke Nut.
