What'st he next Technological Milestone?

3D movie that you don't need to wear glasses for...
I guess, this be more in the line of Holographs or something

Avatar had 100% photorealistic seamless interaction between CGI character and a real human
C'mon. So there's no room for improvement, whatsoever? We've hit the proverbial ceiling?

lifelike robots of the most marketable actors at their peak age. I dont want it but it'll happen ;)

Turning every theater into something like the "Soaring Over California" ride at Disney's California Adventure.

That ride is a sore point with me. It was the one ride above all others that I wanted to go on when I visited Disney only for my fiance to say she couldnt go on it as it would make her sick.

She more or less laid a guilt trip on me and I ended up not going on it either.

That sucks. That and Tower of Terror are the best parts of that park.

Holographs definately . After that you'll actually be in the movie.

Next technological milestone? Vibrating theater seats. :o

Dude, it's awesome. If I were you I would have ditched her and went on, 'cause it's totally worth it. :o

I've never cared for 3D. It's a gimmick, even when done right. I rather see a movie in 2D, than 3D. 3D shouldn't be why I see a movie. Should be for other things.

:lmao: Sure it did... in twenty-thirty years you'll look back and laugh.

In terms of 3D, Avatar's 3D didn't REALLY blow me away, but the 3D trailer for Alice in Wonderland was AWESOME!!!

It wasn't the 3-d that really caught me with Avatar it was the visual effects.

I don't think there will be any more breakthroughs untill something like virtual reality or a literal 3d where you can move your head and see it from different angles. like in today's 3d if the camera is pointed at the front of a car, you can't move a foot to the left and see the side of the car because it wasn't in the shot.

3d should never be why you see a movie. if done right, you should completely forget that what your watching is 3d, even though it's working on you the whole time, just like the music.

It should be used to help you feel like a little more like your there in the movie.

that's weird. avatar looked completely real. there were no shots that looked like fake cgi. And the Alice in Wonderland trailer was loaded with gimmick 3d shots braggin, look I'm right in your face. Especially that chainsaw at the end of the trailer.

I'm not saying Alice doesn't look like a good movie, but Burton definitely made the mistake of making the 3d seem gimmicky.
