Because they take up space. Imagine how slow this site would be if we kept everythread ever? My solution would be to start a new site called superherohypearchives.com and if a super old thread interests you, you could out it on here.

Brilliant idea. Many times I've went into my subscriptions, looking for a thread that isn't there anymore.

Generally we dont delete threads.
We did a little cleanup during the last Forum upgrade from VB2 to VB3.

Generally speaking, the speed of the site is NOT affected by how many threads their are.

I can imagine threads usto be deleted every so often here,but the mods and such have become lazy in the past few years.The Community Forum has over 1 million replies,you can see it for yourself.
