When did you get the Internet?

Me? December 25, 1998. A computer with AOL free hours was my Christmas gift.

It was the year 19 and 96. The internet was diffrent then, none of this fancy DSL. You had to wait five minutes for your page to load and we liked it, we loved it! There was one good side to it. Porn, as far as the eye could see.

AOL hasn't been my internet provider for over a year, but I still use AIM.

I use to go to my aunts or used my Dad's computer, can't remember how long that was. I'd have to check my hotmail to see the date on that.
Personally, I got my laptop and internet in '03.

That's true. Every time I called to cancel I ended up with 100 more free hours. They wouldn't let me go. I had to fake my death and start over in a new town.

LOL. Yea, thats exactly what I got back in `98. I think everyone did. lol. I think `98-00 is when the Internet REALLY took off. Before that most people I knew (family/friends) didn't even have a computer. Heck, we didn't even have computers in the classrooms. And when you went to the library there was like three computers. My early exposure to the Internet was basically doing research for school projects. It was on Christmas `98 when I began exploring other areas. lol.
