When did you get the Internet?

My first "computer" before I ever heard of the internet...

It was during the beginning of the 4.0 era. Must have been 98. I had an IBM Aptiva and I met a girl, but I think she was a guy. It was great.

wow! Thats...kinda ugly. :csad:
yeah, but those were the days, Computer didn't have to look stylish all they had to do was what you wanted it too :D

I remember many aday when I'd start of the computer and see this:
"MS DOS Version 3.5 Copyright 1989 Microsoft Corp.

C:\
C:\ Dir
C:\Windows\
C:\Windows\ Run Win.exe |

Yea, but the IBM looked better than that. I remember in Elementary school there was a computer room and they had IBM. They used to make us play oregon trail and silly games like that.

We used to play that game, as well as math games that rewarded you with points so you could get bonuses in the games.

Frogger, racing games, airplane/bombing/combat games....come to think of it, some of the games were kinda violent, even if they were low-tech. Go figure.

I don't remember them being violent to be honest. My memory of those games is just not being into it. I preferred to go home and play Super Mario on Nintendo.

I was born in Cuba, so at the time my english was really weak. During ESOL classes the teacher would make us use these computer programs that were "supposed" to help us learn the language. I hated those even more than the regular games. I learned more english by interacting with other kids and watch cartoons than I did with those computer programs.

I got kicked out of a library once for going to rotten.com.:o:csad:

I got it in 1995,AOL was huge then,it was funny cause AOL tried to like police the internet with slow dial-up and just ended up costing them billions...I would love to see AOL to completely disappear.

December of 1998. As a birthday/christmas gift. It was actually a Webtv (remember those?), so I was a bit limited on what I could do, but I still enjoyed surfing and what not.
