When do the figures come out

I really WANTED Sally Jupiter. That's the best Carla Gugino(and possibly only one i bet lol) I've ever seen. Looks just like her so I really want it. Didn't get her due to lack of funds though. I wasn't impressed with Hollis' figure though and seeing as how not many people here have him, I know I'm not alone. I think people will buy him once the flick hits.

So Toys R Us has an frakkin' release date? wow. What is this star wars?

I think it's only for the varient figures because they (well just maskless rorschach) are spoilers for the movie. Didn't know blockbuster was gunna carry them...how much are they priced there? I got comedian so far, along with nite owl and rorschach and I'll probably get them all lol

Unless someone does before me, I may sculpt a replacement head for SS and also a Bubastis for Ozymandias. Definately will for my own set up regardless.
Is anyone going to make an in-scale OwlShip? I think the DC Direct one is too small.
 
Woah where did that Comedian come from? I was under the impression that series 2 didn't come out until after the movie.
 
Just got Manhattan and Comedian delivered to me. Both are awesome.

3 Blockbusters and 1 Hot Topic. 8-)

I went to TRU yesterday to see what they had, and to my surprise...they had a ton of series 1 and 2, 12 inch Rorschach, AND the maskless Rorschach variant! I was walking out with the variant Rorschach and a Comedian but when the guy scanned them, he told me that they were recalled and couldn't be sold until March 6th! I was bummed...he told me he'd hold the two figs for me though.

I went back to TRU today and ALL Watchmen figs were taken off the shelves. Huge mistake on TRU's part seeing as they are being sold everywhere else...

Series 2 was just put out today at Hot Topic, picked up the last Dr. Manhattan and Comedian.

oh, and as for price, they're 14.99 each at Blockbuster/16.99 at TRU/and 18.99 at Hot Topic and Spencers.

Wait, you said there was the 12 inch rorschach? Do you have any idea how much it was, and... did it look cool?:grin:
 
12 inch Rorschach had a $80 price tag at TRU. The package is great, but the figure just looks too doll like for me...I'm assuming most DC Direct figs have that problem. (kinda like the TDK Joker fig, just not as bad)

It was nice and all, but not worth the $80 when the regular line of figs is pretty impressive...

I'm starting to regret not picking up Silk Spectre, for the sole fact that my group of figs looks incomplete without her. I'll probably pick her up tomorrow.

If anyone really wants the maskless Rorschach, I'd suggest hitting up TRU next Friday morning, seeing as that's the release date that the guy gave me when he scanned it last time. (hopefully he really did hold it for me)
 
Well today was a good day.

Instead of getting Dr Manhattan and The Comedian. I got the whole of Series 2!


They're all great figures except for Comedian's problem with his leg.

Now just to wait for Series 1 to come from eBay. Should be here on Monday.

anybody got an pic of maskless Rorschach and 12 inch one as well? I haven't seen either of them. Also, since when is TRU selling DC direct 12 inchers? WOW...again!:wow:

The fact that I can't find a single pic of the maskless Rorschach online makes me realize that I stumbled upon gold when I saw atleast 6 of them at TRU the other day. I should have snapped a pic!

and my mistake, the Rorschach is 13". I found a few pics online, but none in the package. I have mixed feelings now that I've seen it out of the package. So I'm assuming you shouldn't be dissapointed by the look of the fig in the package. I'm guessing this is the first released, because on the back was pictures of the other two 13" figs to be released, Dr. Manhattan in suit, and the Comedian. GREAT looking figs.
 
I cannot wait for the maskless Rorschach ... I need him and Translucent Manhattan and my Watchmen figure collection is complete .. supposedly next week at my local comic shop for BOTH of them ..

Has anyone been able to find a variant Dr. Manhattan?
 
they had an unmasked comedian variant and a silk spectre 1 variant (it was sold when i got there but the guy said it was more sepia toned (?)) at my comic store. it had a sticker on it that said something like "exclusive variant". like $25, and the regular figs are $17 there. i'm going first thing on wednesday bc they're supposed to be getting their full shipment of series 2 so hopefully i'll get to see all the variants.

I'm going to buy a Silk Spectre II figure and two more Doc Manhattan's soon and recreate the attempted orgy.

It looks like utter dog ****. I saw one today at TRU. The mask is what kills the thing. You'll see what I'm talking about when you see it.

They must be crazy trying to sell it for 80 bucks.
