Where are all the Marvel games??

You know Ghost Rider's cycle would play like Mr. Grimm!

I'd love to see:

An X-Men Squad Third Person Co-op Action Game. Gears of War meets X-Men Legends.

I'd love a kind of "Marvel World War" RTS, with SHIELD, Wakanda, Lateveria, Attilan, Atlantis and Utopia as available armies.

I'd like to see Captain America and Iron Man (maybe both together?) get the full Arkham Asylum treatment. Cap specializing in all the combat, stealth and thrown weapons type stuff, with Iron Man specializing in all the transportation, gadget and vehicle type stuff.
hmm the third person part does work for X-Men but if you want gear's of war that's more cables version of X-Force style only. if any thing then again if marvel had picked wild storm comic's I can see wet works working there as well. and having Io and the wild c.a.ts and mixed that into with the X -Men. The x-men work better working covertly on some occasions when they actually have a good writer that is .

the X-Men a were made to be as xavier made them his agents as kitty said his shadow worriors(which is what those are) and to protect all of humanity equally. I'm thinking more alpha protocol and a few other stuff/ other mediums be sides that . and seeing the have forge black Smith EtC I was think double 00 7/ mission impossible gadgets made from the alien tech they always aquire. They're not supposed to be used for war they were made to prevent that crap. with the exception of cable . I see splinter cell / Rainbow six(Raids on terrorists indoors like mystique ruin her plans ) with X-Men in a way but gears, no.

something about is weird to me.

their supposed stop the villain from a making the world ever reach that state as they always done prior to the movies mucking things up.

Marvel world war sound like a board game, sound interesting and it would be what iron man would be into if his tech was involved and he'd want to stop that from happening.

I don't really have an opinion on the latter last one though some of it sounds cool. I just see the Arkham treatment working better on DD since he actually does detective work in some degree .

While cap's a military guy and most things come towards him since he's with the avengers or not etc. and that when he's not running near shield.
it's attack or be attacked, he probably fits a bit better with the war game as well too.

But I can see the combat aspect still happening with him though

Ehh, I don't know about a Daredevil game in the arkham style
It would be wayyy to similar to Batman, hell even DD's sense would end up looking similar to "Detective mode"

Cap would be fun because of the slightly more military/espionage bent (MGS style would work as well for a Cap game)
or doing it with Moon Knight could be kinda fun, cuz then they could do some interesting things with the mechanics of a split-personality-havin superhero

and that would be a problem because?

^Total agreement. A DD Arkham-style Game would pretty much be exactly like Batman Arkham, except with worse gadgets and villains. I'm not a Moon Knight fan, but he does seem to bring something new to the table. Captain America is my fave though, if that Cap game from a few years ago had a deeper fighting system, upgrade system and level design, it would have been one of my favorites EVAR. I can only imagine an Iron Man game with great controls, would also rock socks.

And I really meant Marvel World War as an RTS, games like Starcraft, Command and Conquer or Age of Empires. Not a board game, an RTS, Real Time Strategy game. They're fun, though they do require a lot of strategizing, as the name implies.

As for X-Men meets Gears of War, I was really using that as more an example for four player co-op play with third person shooter mechanics. You can help your friends and revive them if they go down, you're dropped into different combat environments with varied objectives. They shouldn't take the story or enemies or weapons from Gears of War, they should take those from the X-Men Legends half, having a list of powers available, depending on the character you choose. And while the X-Men have stealthed at great times, it wasn't stealth in the Metal Gear Solid type of crouching around and hiding, they'd simply be careful about what areas they breached and when.

Other Marvel Games, I'd love:

A Comprehensive Spider-Man Experience, like Bully (for Peter Parker in School) meets Spider-Man 2 meets Arkham (counter-counter combat, beautiful world design). Take those games, fuse them together, add on all the improvements (and only the improvements) that Rockstead and Treyarch/Activision have put on their systems since then and give me that game.

A Cyclops FPS game. Maybe just a simple downloadable type thing, but I'd love that.

A Spectrum (Monica Rambeau) Adventure game where she masters the electromagnetic spectrum in an almost PBS-like way.

Speaking of XML/MUA, I would love it if they simply opened it up and made it more complex. Give it the openness and freedom of DC Universe Online/Lego Marvel Superheroes, but with the complexity and deep gameplay of the Spider-Man, Batman and even Hulk Ultimate Destruction games.

The old spiderman games were by far the best I've played by Marvel

I've been asking for a free roam open world (at least open NYC) for all things Marvel for ever now. Marvel Heroes is the closest we've got, but like XML/MUA, it's still not "one big map" free roam as much as it is a conglomeration of separate encounter areas.

I wouldn't enjoy that top down view for an open world...

A free roam MUA, could be so fantastic if done right. Missions could play like the entire final act of Avengers. You have one guy that picks off strays and tells people where they are needed, you have the Hulk/Thor players who who handle mobs or giant threats, someone mobile like Iron Man who keeps up the aggro and prevents mobs from traveling outside the fight zone, Captain America and the other street level heroes make sure civilians are safe, while at the same time fighting the ground forces.

I was thinking more like times when they were doing some missions but I'm talking about those mission like when they first had cannon ball on a mission with them and he saw how they operated and was surprise like when the had gambit and jean go in under cover at he pentagon disguised as soliders in in uniform and discovered onslaught had high jacked the place or when they had cyclops on a air plane where Jay Jona jamason as a under cover sting operation was on and Dark beast's brother hood with former kidnapped Havok ( turned out later he was doing his own personal under cover work on his own ) was being used for Dark beast terror operation. or when Cannon jean and ice man were spying on graydon creed befor mystique did her insane kill spree with saber tooth killing her son and kid's at the statue of liberty and they she made absolutely sure to head to muir island to kill Moira after cutting banshee's throat by having avalanche blob etc betray banshee. and the fact she made sure to cute Moira open in front of roue after stabbing roue where she knows miss marvel powers of invulnerability are weakest.

or when gambit posed as an FBI agent and even that person that was usually known as the Executioner ( who is really and FBI Agent that knows some that was close to xavier as that person was part of the fbi and helped find cyclops and helped with first mission against magneto when they started) was impressed with that skill gambit showed fooling every one while doing at his own FBI field office. in gambits own series that dealt with the New sun/son and we discovered what gambits true potential powers were in that series. and don't forget the X -Men have a device called the image inducer.

or that time Xavier had siren of cables X-force do under cover work in that insanity ward.

they have a history with it. and BTW I'm pretty sure rain bow Six kinda beat gears to that . but you had to have played that series of games to know that. but I under stand what you mean. it can still be done in raid style mission's on characters like mystique and the purifiers and FOH and ETC.

They have shown the X -men have done alot as Xaviers proxy's another word for agents and it'll show cool ways of game play as a team and solo. and more then just full combat there other options to explore with them. Especially since they have that device called the image inducer device they have and used which both Night crawler and beast have done yo walk in public and not have people notice the cause they look like normal human with that device on them. it's really good for disguise

As for dare Devil he's been seen to have his billy clubs do some of the stuff that batman Bata rangs have like a tazer device or a trick blade and he's tossed it a ricocheted like a boomer rang hims self and he's turned it in a short staff and whip and more recently Nun chuck as he sports it as now or a manrikigusari with is like a extending rope like version of the Nun chuck which even TMNT currently has Michelangelo rip of of late with the latest series.

and all ninja's use smoke bombs and I've Seen DD use it when he's with master stick and the chaste taking on the Hand Ninja's like when Electra was to be first brought back to life and Black widow was running around with him as his partner during that event. and just have use surikens/ throwing star's your pretty much set.

Marvel has pushed it of late that cyclops is a very skilled martial artist with games . a game with whim would be cool but the issue is most of the writers are dens when they have cool story with him like what done and set up in the search for cyclops they screw it up. the only writer that knows what he's doing with hims be side say Josh weadon and Fabian N. again a game would be awesome I can see cyclops in a Burn notice /Alias ( Micheal Weston / Jack Bristo ) type of deal as those character are close to him cause they came up with awesome plans and they both had to deal with family issues those characters were leaders/ boss's.

I'd say Havok should be Jack Bauer ( have him run a DPD domestic protection division FROM COVERT AFFAIRS THE SHOW) while cyclops does the foreign AND INTER GALACTIC AFFAIRS. depending on the missions they can intersect/ you have a switch thing up deal.

the marvel war game should be the face's of where tony stark and captain America since since they are suited best for is cause they have military back grounds of most of the MU characters and yeah add in miss marvel and war machine red hulk there too. that fits well. and you can still use cap to lead people in the battle field of an actual war like Desert any terrain will do actually and still use his combat skills. a special kinda of Xcom deal.

That's why I used DCUO and Legeo Marvel Heroes as example how MUA free-roam should be done.

Oh, I just took you at your word when you said 'simply open up MUA' and used those as examples of openness and freedom. I didn't know you were thinking about using them as examples of controls, viewpoint or anything else, and I didn't try and read into what you were saying. Thank you for clarifying though.

they have a history with it.

But they have a much larger and more popular history with more casual infiltration and an even larger and even more popular history with out and out action.

and BTW I'm pretty sure rain bow Six kinda beat gears to that . but you had to have played that series of game to know that. but I under stand what you mean. it can still be done in raid style mission's

Well it's not so much raid style missions, as Gears of War uses a wide variety of weapons and weapon types, and it does so as a third person shooter, instead of a first person shooter, like Rainbow Six. You can see yourself, see your teammates, you can help you teammates up and carry them, and see yourself doing so. This is also why Army of Two was third person and not first person like Rainbow Six, so you could feel that camaraderie. You can also much better manage melee combat with third person view. So that's what I would take from Gears of War, not simply *that* they had co-op, but that there was a real tactile aspect to it. It wasn't just about flanking the enemy together, like in every FPS evar, but you really get the feel that you are a team from the gameplay. I think a good squad based X-Men game would have that.

I also think this last Gears of War did something really cool when you play as the Horde, they had dramatically different unit types, with different attributes and "powers," only a couple of which were about ranged combat. As such, even though you're fighting guys with guns, the tactics you use can be very different. I think a Squad Based X-Men game would have that too, where you use various powers to take on guys with guns. I think that'd be pretty frakking cool. In addition to the really hands on team aspect, in addition to seeing yourself in melee, in addition to seeing your character action game style, in addition to feeling like you're in over your head. Those are the types of things I would take from Gears of War, and it's the only game like that I know.

Yeah, I think there's a reason that we never see NC and Beast use the image inducers like that, because the X-Men aren't usually spy characters. They are Xavier's Agents, yes, but Bill is an Insurance Agent. Mr. Clean is a disinfecting agent. In the end, none of these people are Intelligence Agents like members of the CIA. Those aren't the stories we usually tell, and it would be a poor representative of Bill, or Mr. Clean, or the X-Men to make a video game about them being Intelligence Agents.

Now should there be a cool disguise level? Yeah. Especially if you get to paly as Mystique, now she, she actually is an Intelligence Agent, she serves as an Intelligence Agent for Magneto, no doubt.

He can do some stuff that Batman can do, but not all, hence, his gadgets are worse. I didn't say he had NO gadgets, I said he had worse gadgets.

no I'm sorry the X-men have proven to be good spies with the right writers. and that was doin is always good thing

and it's all due time that they wasted that b*tch mystique I'd love it if they used copycat on her since one is a more power shapeshifter and she has been shown wanting to be a good once when she was with her man garrison kain of the cable books I'm tired of her and her insane reverse racism. leaving her human son cause she can't use him with a rapist and serial killer like sabertooth turning that kid into a racist as he became older cause ot the abuse making more probelms for the world and stabs some that was actually helping mutants cause she wants to kill Rouges human friends in front of her as she watches crying to stop. mama stop. mystique's been around the the victorian period 's . really sick of her. and I like more varied game play since it's been shown in the comic's. show it in game .

as to dare devil if the ninja turtles copyed a weapon/ gadgets from his list of inventory then no they aren't worse. and it's not like cains (which his billy clubs are most of the time , haven't been used as trick weapons as the real life spy world has used during the cold war.

Some kind of game from the Spider-Man villains' perspective would be cool. A free roaming multiplayer game or something with gang control.

I don't know if the obvious has been mentioned yet. We also need another Deadpool game. Saints Row style.

They've also proved to be great soap opera-style drama under the right writers, but I wouldn't want to play a game based on that. Maybe a level, but I'd rather do the thing that they're best known for that's also good, rather than something that was good that happened just a few times.

Again, the spy stuff is good, but the stuff the X-Men do all the time is better for the X-Men, that's why they do it all the time.

The Ninja Turtles don't even have gadgets. Their gadgets are definitely worse, because they have none. Put it this way, which would you rather have:

A) A Cane that can be a grappling hook and nunchuks

or

B)

as to the soap opera parts it's part of spider to a degree and avengers and joe Q admitted that the current writers are bad at making story's with normal relation ship.s something went down hill during the 80's the people that knew how to do that were of stan lees time and you'd still like the characters. I don't give damn for a relation these days cause every ones been turned into a "ho" now. so sorry don't bug me with that part soap opera were always terrible especially the "NA" ones. wow. they keep saying they love some one and their in bed with some other person that came into town so fast your heads spinning. lol porn has become more honest then the characters in a soap opera.

I feel they should show all side's of the x-men game play wise and no one will want to play that stupid soap opera crap which even porn put to shame of late. and seeing how most of have done so it just should kitty pryde , Dani moon star recruited by shield and use as spies .

You just proved the point for why a DD would NOT be a straight up clone of Batman's Arkham games. Yep I still see no problem with making a game based on him taking some influence from that series

lol and DD doesn't have side kick's he's had pleanty of crime fiht partners (most of MU has ether partners team mates or hero team up) and most of his started out as women and there's foggy his business partner (you can say he's his alfred but alfred was an MI6 operative before he worked for the Wayne's.) And foggy nelson just isn't as cool. I mentioned this before too there's enough that's both similar and different to have a DD game stand up on it's own

same for jim harper the guardian of the DCU who's it's captain america and iron's man's analog who's the adopted father of star girl and isn't as rich play boy cause he chose the family life
